The Swiss Colony Sausage & Cheese Bars - Assorted Cheese and Caraway and Garlic Summer Sausage Treats Gift Box of 6

My Dad loves these sausage and cheese boxes as Christmas gifts so I decided to try Swiss Colony instead of Hickory Farms. Great assortment though the pieces were a bit smaller then I thought they would be.

Tastes great but each year the quantity decreases and the price increases.

A little disappointed with the size for the price. I expected it to be bigger. My fault in not paying attention to the weights but for the price I wouldn't buy again. However the customer service was awesome. I first received the wrong product, so had to notify the Company. I received a reply immediately, and the correct item was sent the next day. So 5 stars for customer service. 4 stars for value for the price.

Update.Company reached out to me and was willing to resolve my issues. So while the item is still not good for gifting, customer service is prompt and courteous. If you are looking for appetizers for yourself, this may be a good purchase.The package was beat up, and opened. It came in the actual package and looks like it was dropped several times and is sooo scratched up it looks like someone slid it across the pavement. It also has my mailing label etc on the box. I bought this for a gift and obviously it is not in giftable condition. Can't remove my label without tearing the box up even more.2nd. It is missing a sausage. The sausage that is there kind of resembles a cheap, short, hot dog, and not a sausage. (Have not tasted it, it may be good.) It is 3 oz. One cheese is super mushy and feels like cheese spread and not slice able cheese. (Again, I got it to give as a gift, so I did not taste it, it may taste good.) It is 4.25 oz.3rd. As stated earlier, I bought this for a gift, and it states on the package and inside the box that you need to refrigerate the sausage and the cheese. It doesn't say, after opening. It says to refrigerate it at once for best quality. So yes, this hinders being able to wrap it and leave it under the person's tree until Christmas if it needs refrigeration to stay fresh.Also, I tried to return it and was informed by Amazon that it is not returnable or refundable.So the package is damaged, it is missing items, needs refrigeration, is not in a giftable package, and is non refundable or returnable. For a gift, I do NOT recommend this item. If you just want to try some cheese and sausage for yourself, it might be good.

Didn't do my homework on this one. My local smokehouse sells great summer sausage $7 per lb. But I wanted a giftbox to be directly sent to my brother. So for $44 delivered with less than 1 lb of sausage and 1 lb of cheese, the "gift box" arrived. To my disappointment and as stated in other reviews, the box arrived with shipping labels covering most of it and the box was all beat up. They added string packing tape across the little box to hold it together. Wow, that's a classy practice Swiss Colony. And I saw similar reviews from last holiday season. So obviously Swiss Colony doesn't care. No notice during checkout that it will be shipped in the original box, as I've seen Amazon do. My brother said the products tasted good but to me for the overprice SC could wrap the box in paper or put into a ziplock bag to accommodate the shipping label...geez you could come up with a cheap solution...never again.

I like all the cheeses and sausages that came with this pack
