Will this work with an msi gaming laptop?

The Seagate Model ST1000DM003 1TB 3.5 “ disk drive is designed for conventional desktop machines and will not fit into a MSI laptop. It will however, fit into a purpose-built 3.5” external drive case and be useful as an external data drive. My daughter in-law uses one for her MSI gaming laptop as an offline backup drive using Microsoft’s Windows 10 Backup and she has no problems with it. It just won’t fit into the 2.5” slot for an internal drive.

It is a blank HDD with out any op systems installed... I Installed windows 11 with out any problems..
