Nice metatarsal support pads.
The media could not be loaded. I really like these little pads, they are thick enough and provide comfortable weight redistribution right where I need. They glue on well and stay put for a long time. I can wipe them off with a wet cloth if they become soiled. They are effective and work exactly as designed.

best metatarsal support pad on the market
This is the best metatarsal support pad on the market. They are the right size and shape for my wide feet. They also hold up well and can be reused. I have tried other cotton pads, and they just shred. I use Kenisiology tape to adhere them to my foot, and I leave the backing on. The tape comes off the backing easily. Pro tip: Use rubbing alcohol to remove the tape glue!

How to place / locate Metatarsal Pad
I use both Pedag T-Form and Pedag Drop (1) functions with footwear that has removable insole (2) can be installed / positioned above or below the footwear insole, dependent on user preference (3) I use a self-tailored fastener (cut, trimmed, and rolled, adhesive side out) piece of duct-tape, under the Pad, to temporarily position and secure the Pad. ( 3a) Tip / Top of Metatarsal Pad should extend marginally above the geometric plane at the base of the big-toe metatarsal capsule, extending horizontally across the ball of foot. Shouldn't be behind, and not directly under the metatarsal capsule (4) Once satisfied with the location of the Pad, I outline the position with magic marker, then I remove the tailored duct-tape fastener, and then I apply duct-tape over the Pedag metatarsal pad, to ensure it remains in desired position (5) effective aid to relieve pain associated with metatarsalgia (5) I developed metatarsalgia (second toe ) and upon installing the pad, experienced immediate relief, and resumed hiking and walking the dogs. (6) But, the Pad isn't a panacea - metatarsalgia can require reduced stress on foot, i.e., reduced activity ( I terminated jogging for 3 months ) - (7) the use of a metatarsal pad and insole with proper arch support, worn a majority of the day. (7) I placed in all my footwear (8) I installed it in a pair of old jogging shoes that i washed and cleaned, to be worn exclusively in the house ( I don't wear footwear in the house, but for this one exception ) (9) I purchased Pedag insoles - with built in metatarsal pads - for other footwear, to obviate the need to constantly remove insoles with metatarsal pads from one pair of footwear and insert in a different pair. I like the Viva Sport as it fits in both jogging footwear and casual footwear. I also use the Viva Outdoor in my hiking Boots. (10) Pedag T-Form was more comfortable for my feet than the Pedag Drop, ( but my feet adjusted and I use both pads effectively ) Seeking professional medical care is recommended, as the first response to any medical issue; in context to this review - a licensed , Podiatrist, and / or a Primary Care Physician.

Works for Sore Metatarsal (saved my running!)
As a mid-distance runner, it was difficult for me to accept that something was wrong with my foot — specifically my metatarsal area. I tried running through the pain, but of course that didn’t help. Some research on Amazon led me to these pads, and I’m glad I read the reviews. Specifically, I appreciated someone’s advice about not sticking the pad directly in my shoe and instead taping it to my foot.I first tried using a pad on both feet. You know, for symmetry. But since only one foot was in pain, I found that the other foot absolutely didn’t want or need the pad. Instead, I taped the pad (as directed by the illustration on the back of the package) to the bottom of my sore foot, put on my socks and running shoes, and WOW!! What a difference! My toe usually starts out stinging on a run, but the metatarsal pad alleviated much of the pain and allowed me to keep pushing. I’ve been using the pad for over a week now — about 40 miles — and it’s still working great.I like the ability to tape the pad to my foot and use it with whatever shoe I need. It also seems as if I get more value from the pads by not sticking them directly into my shoes. I’m quite happy with this purchase. It’s made a huge difference in the quality of my running.

Targeted support
I like that these pads come in different sizes for larger feet, I can reposition them a few times and the pad stays put, and the leather material is tougher than foam and will not erode as quickly.

Nice, but wish they were slightly larger or wider.
For my injury these didn't help as much as the T-Form inserts. They helped slightly, but with they were slightly larger for my big feet. I had the flexor cut under all my toes to relieve my curled toes after an injury. The fat pad moved forward so I have pain from walking on the ball of my foot. These helped slightly in my shoes.

Feel
My foot pain is much improved!Positioning the pad is a bit tricky. I secure them with paper medical tape, and my feet feel much more comfortable.

Great product
Have used them for a long time with arch support for long distance walking. Attached to insert, they stay in place and work for literally years!
