I shook it out outside, washed and dried, and it was ready to go!Other towels were too thin, too small, and very scratchy. I have a humongous baby and none of the other super cute hooded towels had enough to cover the immense surface area of my gargantuan infant (5 months, 21 pounds, 28 inches). It's very important to have a big towel when you've got a big baby, because you need to be able to get in between ALL the fat folds and dry them out, or you'll regret it later (think: stink).This towel is incredibly soft and fluffy, nice and big, and who can resist the adorable ears?
