Safari Ltd. Sperm Whale Figurine - Detailed 8.5" Plastic Model Figure - Fun Educational Play Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 3+

I purchased several whales for my grandson and this one is an absolute must have! It is well made, soft, sturdy, and realistic. The mouth is soft and a bit pliable which my grandson loves. I personally love the sweet eyes this whale has. It’s not huge, maybe a bit larger than the length of my hand. Out of all the whales I purchased this is the only one that sinks to the bottom of the tub/ pool. I’m actually on line right now to search for more marine life by this company.

I bought this for the tub and was disappointed that it sits on the bottom it does not float. The good part like all Safari Ltd. toys they have the animal names on the bottom so if you are learning their names you have a reminder. If you want great whales that float Schleich are beautiful in color and do float which I find important for a tub toy! Overall it is a great educational toy as long as you don't expect it to float also great price!

Birthday gift for my Grandson's up coming birthday.(4yrs.) He has various deep sea creatures that he plays with. This sperm whale is much nicer and sturdier than the one he has. I think he will love it.

My two boys -- ages 2 and 5 -- clamor to use this sperm whale at bath time -- in part thanks to the Wild Kratts show featuring an epic sperm whale vs. giant squid battle. TV influence aside, this is one of those simple toys that seems to make them endlessly happy and doesn't involve blasters and small plastic pieces.I wanted to purchase a humpback whale too and was shocked to see the difference in price! Not sure why humpback garners such a higher price tag than the sperm whale, but they'll be happy with just this one for the time being.

Yet another beautiful and realistic artwork from Safari, Ltd.. I only had one minor concern with one front flipper being slightly misshaped when it arrived which I quickly reshaped using my hot air rework equipment to make it look more natural and accurate. Its scale also goes great with Safari's smaller sized Giant Squid to portray their real life counterparts' underwater ongoing life and death struggles between predator and prey.

A little smaller than what I was expecting. Most reviews said it was heavy and solid but I did not get that impression. My son is also very concerned that the color is not correct but overall we are happy with the whale. He loves it!

I got this whale while reading Moby Dick. I wanted to see what I was reading. The toy is a good size, solid material, the coloring could be a bit better seems like they run on on the side a bit. Exactly what I expected. Today my whale finds himself hanging out with my turtle.

This is a wonderful figure with awesome detail and solid construction. This is not a rubber feel type toy but actually heavy and sinks in the tub due to construction and weight. Highly recommended for children who like a more realistic look. :)
