It does run small though. I'm 5'3", 180 lbs, and carry my weight in my belly and thighs. I ordered a 1x. It's snug, but a good pair of spanx will make it perfect! The white material is thick, so it's not transparent, nor does it show all your flaws. I ordered the 3X and it fit perfectly, very flattering to my chubby figure. I am 5'2", and weigh 158. 3X is a European sizing, the tag also says 17/18. I had to carefully iron the poncho part, it had several packing wrinkles. After wearing, I hand washed it and hung it on a plastic hanger in the shower to drip dry. When washing, the water turned dark grey, so it has some loose surface dye. After two rinses the water was clear though.
