This is the one to buy folks!!! *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2016* This hat is definitely as described and as pictured. It is absolutely perfect. My photos of the interior of the hat show the color as a slight yellow - that's due to the flash. There is 1 photo without the flash and that is true to actual color. The inside label says "Genuine Panama Hand Woven in Ecuador" and "Henschel Hat Co. USA". The weave is excellent quality. The hat color is not as white as shown in the Amazon photo but darn close. It is more off-white. The brim is not real stiff like most, it is flexible. The brim width measures 2-3/8" (not 2-3/4" as advertised), does not have a wire in it, and can be somewhat manipulated just enough to be right where you want it. The hat is approx 4-3/4" tall from the brim at its highest point. The overall hat size is perfect - does not look too tall or wide when worn. This hat is for my husband. He saw my Rag & Bone Women's Panama hat and wanted one like it. This Henschel Panama hat is as close as it gets!!! Almost the same styling and color!! The sizing is on the slightly larger size. I went to the Killer Hats Co website (this is where this hat came from) and their sizing shows size 7-1/2", which is the size I needed, between a Large and a X-Large. I went with the XL. I didn't want an undersized hat because then hubby would not be able to adjust it. So, the XL is a little big but a hat sizing-tape-thing on the inside works perfect and now the hat fits fine. Summary: Very stylish, masculine looks, excellent quality, and excellent priority 2-day delivery via USPS from the seller. The box was a bit warped but the hat survived. There are more expensive Panama hats that we tried and returned. After receiving this one, we know now that the others do not measure up to this one at all. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Panama hat for the rest of us that conveys style *by S***F on Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2017* For $100 it is a great spring and summer hat for beach formal, smart causal, or even business dress if it's an outdoor affair. It's a nice bright natural color with a black band. The tear shaped crown is not too tall and the brim is not too wide or too stingy. It runs a little large as my hat size is 7 1/2 and the large is a tad loose. I padded the sweat band until It felt slightly snug. It is a perfectly good hat but it has a few things that make it a sub-par version of a fino to superfino quality panama hat. First, it is not a true panama, even though it is tocquilla straw and hand woven in Ecuador. It cannot collapse and roll up like a true high quality Panama. It is block molded with glue on the inside to retain the crown shape and pinch. The weave is not the finer quality you find in the higher end hats were a quality panama feels like fabric, and this feels like straw. Yet, it's even and has a clean look. There is minor fraying on the crown since I have been wearing it, but a little fabric glue puts it back in place. For some perspective, a low-ball fino Panama hat starts at about $400 with the superfino at up to $5000. The ones who can afford those prices are the only ones wh know the difference. Even so, I've gotten major compliments as it can really up your style points with a nice linen shirt, white jeans or light slacks that are more tapered, a light summer blazer, loafers or Oxfords without socks or colorful socks. I learn from Italians as they do it best. For formal events, you should get a white fino quality panama with a black ribbon. I'm happy with it as the crown to a unified summer ensemble. Perhaps one day I'll spring for a Montecristi, but for now I wear it if it is one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the hat *by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2018* Love the hat, well made fit is good and it is exactly what I wanted. I hate the packaging it was thrown into a box that was just a bit too small causing it to arrive misshapen. I am going to give it a couple days to relax and see if it comes back into shape, if not it will be you g back. If I am going to spend $100 on a hat I expect it to be packaged properly not just stuffed into a box. Amazon screwed the pooch on this one, potentially ruining a fine product by doing a poor job when it came to packaging. At this point I will not be able to wear it to the event that I bought it for but am willing to see if it regains its proper shape for future use.
