Does not hold up.
We just used this for project, kit worked great for the first 12 crimps. After that it was difficult to produce good crimps. Needed players to close and open the valve. We could not complete the job. I just miisseed the return window. I’m very disappointed ☹️ ☹️☹️

Worked flawlessly
Product worked perfectly. I just installed a new synthetic wood deck and elected to go with wire railings to give it a more modern look and not obstruct views. I did the work myself and this product was easy to use. The only thing I would caution people about is: the product is rather heavy. So, if you are working alone, trying to hold the wire in the crimping, feral with one hand and using the crimping tool with one hand is a bit difficult. Having an extra set of hands so that you can use both on the crimping tool is recommended.

Good for the price
The crimping tool is working well. The cutters are not holding up as well after 2 spools of cable. If you have a single project, probably are fine. If you are planning to do a lot of cutting, they may need replacing ( or may be able to sharpen them, I have not tried that yet)

Garbage
Absolute garbage! Wish I could give it 0 stars. I crimped one bolt and then it poured grease all over me and wouldn't do any more crimps. Beyond disappointed. I had help lined up to do my project and we couldn't even get started. Some piece of plastic broke inside. Absolute garbage, don't waste your money on this. Buy another brand.

Great tool if you use it right!
After reading the negative reviews I decided to take a chance on this tool on the belief that most of those reviews were a reflection of faulty users and not faulty tools. As I predicted, at least in my case, I was right! Adding pipes and other things for leverage is a recipe for disaster as anyone who knows anything about hydraulics knows, over pressuring a cylinder will cause failure in the tool or the seals! Two things the worked for me were 1, hold the tool between your legs using both arm and leg mussels. when you feel a sudden solid pressure, stop, its done. 2, make your first crimp with the end of the stud tensioners only three quarters in the dies. This will absolutely lock the cable in followed by a second crimp right behind the first. I finished my deck in about a day using 60 stud tensioners for a total of 120 crimps with an added bonus of stronger arm and leg mussels! If I can do it with a sore arm (tetanus shot the day before) so can you! The cutter made 60 cut and didn't have a scratch afterwards, awesome!

If your going to do crimp style cable railing you really need one of these
Built a new deck and the wife wanted cable railing. Watched some videos and the overall consensus was that you need one of these tools. They were right, you can't get successful results using pliers, you need one of these crimpers.

It broke
We got 7 of 28 cables cramped, and the Handel broke at the hinge, several of the cables later slipped free. We are on our replacement now, and finally fininishing our deck railings hopefully the replacement works better than the first

Must have for installing cable railings!
If you are going to install a cable railing system these are must have tools. The crimber takes a bit of muscle to operate but nothing beyond what the average person can handle. The cutter cuts the wire rope clean so that there are no frays when trying to insert it in the turnbuckle.
