Excellent product for its intended purpose, much safer than using hotel WiFi!

I bought this to replace my RT-AX57go. The router itself is excellent, and the dual-function capability is particularly useful. It does offer improved performance over its predecessor, but that comes with a trade-off. The 57go ran reliably on my power bank, making it highly portable. This newer model, however, has higher power requirements, and its performance using the same power bank has been inconsistent at best. Until I find a more powerful power bank, I’m effectively limited to using it with a mains power supply.

Works well. Synced up with my existing BT10 mesh fine. Haven’t used it on public wifi yet so can’t comment on that but it feels like it’ll work. As usual the ASUS software is a little more complex than say an Eero but the defaults work well and I’d advise not over tweaking with it! It’s currently in my garage, acting as something to plug an Ethernet cable in to for my solar inverter.

roaming between mesh networks with the same SSID is normal in hotels, trains, airports, and offices, and the RT-BE58 Go is marketed as a travel router, so it should handle this scenario well. The problem is that WISP mode on ASUS routers does not implement full 802.11r/k/v fast roaming, so when the upstream SSID changes BSSID (as happens in mesh), the router sometimes fails to re-authenticate and gets stuck in a scanning loop. And if you don’t get stuck and want to change to the hotel wifi, you have to log into the router and reconfigure via the internet config wizard… which also reconfigures your router‘s SSID etc… That is a lot of clicks. This is NOT a travel router… the SW is that of a normal router. It is a „portable“ router at best.

Did not worked for me, could not be able to add to its app and wasted almost 6-7 hrs. Sent messages to Asus call centre and just got AI responses for the things which I have already tried…

Questo articolo, “piccolo Router” è ottimo, un ottimo Router. Praticamente lo puoi portare dove vuoi, come vuoi. Lo puoi usare in 2 fasi: collegato al Router e Wireless collegato al Router, quindi Cablare il dispositivo che preferisci. Ottimo Router, non c’è che dire, anche come forma e oltretutto c’è l’App che lo puoi configurare. Ottimo.

Lo compré como router de sustitución si se "rompe" el que tengo (Asus GT-B19000) después de días de pruebas intensivas esta es mi opinión: Router ideal, perfecto para tenerlo en casa como principal, para llevarlo de viaje y conectarlo a cualquier red abierta o cerrada, recepción muy muy buena de lo mejor. Lo puedes alimentar por usb C con una powerbank. La seguridad es miy buena al crear una Red paralela y la protección Trend micro. El interruptor una vez configurado para opción casa o Wisp es muy bueno. Lo peor? El firmware necesita mejoras, lento y el reinicio. Por lo demás un router tamaño mini, miy buen precio por 90€ tiene MLO y características de router premium. No tiene 6G dos bandas 2 y 5 g si wifi 7. Totalmente recomendable.
