Review: Great value, PeeDee set is better quality, but with this you wont be disappointed... - I had the original PeeDee set a while back and even a coworker has one. I actually prefer that to this, but For the price this takes the cake. I have already done several hundred parts and noticed it already has wear marks from my starrett mic but wear is inevitable. The peedee sets wear a lot better in fact I never noticed ANY wear. This set has already noticeable wear and have barely had it a month. Great packaging too, and the instructions are nice if you need them and they all conveniently fit all in one pouch. Great value and they work perfect if you need this tool, get it.

**Q: where are they made? CHINA or USA?**
A: No where on the product does it say US or China. It seems to be a nice set and the instructions looks as if from a US company. English only and well done. I like the set but I still have yet to use them.

**Q: Does this come with the chart to tell you which wires to use for the thread your measuring**
A: Yes it has a chart and instructions

**Q: So aren't these basically go pin gauges with arbitrary tolerances? It only checks minor diameter? Or are they threaded? Can't see any threads...**
A: They are pins to check thread pitch...two on one side, one on the other. Measure with micrometer and subtract the constant from the table. They are an alternative to a pitch micrometer

**Q: Are these shipped with a certification that these meet the mil-std requirements for this product?**
A: No certificate but it is quality product. I've been using the wires in the past 3 years with great results (proved it's conformity).

I had the original PeeDee set a while back and even a coworker has one. I actually prefer that to this, but For the price this takes the cake. I have already done several hundred parts and noticed it already has wear marks from my starrett mic but wear is inevitable. The peedee sets wear a lot better in fact I never noticed ANY wear. This set has already noticeable wear and have barely had it a month. Great packaging too, and the instructions are nice if you need them and they all conveniently fit all in one pouch. Great value and they work perfect if you need this tool, get it.
