Yes its a bit large, but only as large as it needs to be
This thing is great. Is is a tad on the bulky side but no larger than it needs to be in order to hold a few usefully sized tools. An excellent balance of size and functionality I think. The sides of the cell phone pocket are elastic, and the pocket is deeper than most modern phones are thick, so the pocket nicely conformed to snugly fit my phone despite it being wider than the CLC spec of that pocket. CLC site says approx 2.5"W, my phone case is 2.875"W, and it looks like the pocket would still expand to slightly higher than 3"W. My phone is a HTC EVO 4G LTE w/ 4.7"diag screen which was big before the Note showed up. The pocket would hold my phone with a bulkier case, but maybe not a Note. The height of the pocket is such that the edge of my phone sticks out just enough to not muffle the speaker. My phone is 5.375"H. With the flap closed there is still room for a slightly taller phone. It is also enough room for a headphone cable to easily fit with a right angle plug. A straight plug fits too because of the way the flap is cut narrower at the top but it is marginal on my phone as the flap puts pressure on the plug in a bad way but other phones may fit better. The inside front and back of the pocket have a little padding with a nice soft fabric to go against the screen. The front pocket does not have any elastic, but it is just wide enough to hold side-by-side both a multitool and a 8-pc folding hex key set (with metal frame only, plastic frames were all too bulky to fit). The front pocket is deep enough that I put a stubby bit holder on the bottom of it and the multitool and hex keys fit on top. Total dimensions of what I fit in the front pocket are 2.25"W x 5.5"H x 0.625"D. Either my Leatherman Wave or original SwissTool fit well. In the middle pockets fit a small screw driver, 0.625dia handle 5" total length, could fit up to a 6" length. The other middle pocket I fit a sharpie and a pen, you can fit a third writing utensil in that pocket if you really try but its tight. There is a gap between the two middle pockets, that while not an actual pocket, can also fit a pen or pencil. With my phone and all the tools in there the flap closes to halfway between the minimum and maximum that the Velcro allows, so there is nice adjustability for longer or shorter tools while still keeping the flap snug. The flashlight loop is pretty self-explanatory and tight at the 0.75"dia of my flashlight. Anything wider wouldn't fit. The keyring clip is plastic and probably will break eventually but the fabric loop it attaches at seems solid so that could be easily replaced by a metal keyring clip. The initial reaction from those who have commented on it has been something like "is that an 80s vintage cell phone?" but they are nonetheless impressed when they see inside. I am told it also looks great next to my CLC impact driver holster, I just wish that holster had the belt clip too. A nice product that I am very happy with. If you think it is too big or small there are certainly other options for different phones and more or less tools. For my needs it turned out perfect. Goldilocks likes it too Summary of my kit, loaded pouch is 1 lb 13 oz Phone (HTC EVO 4G LTE) Multitool (Leatherman Wave or SwissTool) 8pc folding hex key set (1"W x 4"H x 0.875"D) Stubby bit holder (1"dia x 1.5"L, in bottom of front pocket) Screwdriver (0.625dia handle 5" total length) Sharpie Pen Pencil Flashlight (0.75"dia) I hope this helps you make a well informed decision on the product either way. Enjoy. Or not.

Nice way to keep the essentials close at hand
I bought this because I seem to have an addiction to buying tool bags and pouches. I didn't really have a specific need for it, but I thought it might be good to have a few tools in a grab-and-go pouch. As a result, the pouch has been repurposed for household duty. It seems I frequently need a screwdriver, tape measure, or other basic tool with me, but I don't always want to rummage through a toolbox or drag around my has-everything-I-need-but-weighs-a-ton tool bag for simple household "adjustments." This pouch was my compromise. I keep changing what I carry in it depending on what I'm doing, but the current contents are: -No-name full size 4-in-1 screwdriver -Klein mini 4-in-1 screwdriver -Small tape measure -Mini LED flashlight -Bic butane lighter -Small and medium adjustable wrenches -Miniature pry bar -Set of Klein linesman pliers I found at a garage sale For tightening door knobs, adjusting cabinet doors, and all sorts of other quick n' dirty tweaks, this pouch and its contents are perfect. If I can't tackle it with the tools I have here, I go get my large tool bag (also made by CLC) which has a lot more tools-- and a lot more weight. I can't speak to its durability because it has led a pretty pampered life so far, but it does keep things well organized and secure enough not to fall out when I run up a flight of stairs. It's just about the perfect size for my needs, and since I bought it for less than $7 as an add-on item (is that even a thing any more?), I think I got a tremendous bargain.

Great utility pouch if you have the right things to put in it
I bought this item to store all my common pocket-tools in one easy to find spot. For work I usually carry my Leatherman Wave, an electricians knife, a flashlight, two accessory bit cards for the Leatherman, as well as a bit extension. I also carry a regular switchblade pocketknife and several pens and makers but my storage problem was really only pertaining to the first six items. I recently ordered a replacement leather belt sheath for my Leatherman to replace the nylon one which was slowly getting destroyed. Upon finding out that the leather alternative (sold by Leatherman itself) was too small to fit my accessories (the bit cards and extension) I decided to venture out to find a carry-all solution. This pouch by CLC seemed to fit the bill. I have been using it for several months now it's fallen short of what I was hoping to get out of it, but through no fault of the design or function of the item. The items I carry simply dont fit well in the provided pouches. My Leatherman and electricians knife share a pocket since they are too small by themselves to be in a compartment alone without slipping out. My bit cards stay in the inner spandex slip and the bit extension in the forward slip. Overall there's a lot of wasted space here but cramming it full makes removing any one tool a hassle. The innermost compartment has elastic sides to allow it to expand. It's just big enough to fit a Motorola Razr smartphone (without a case), but since I was using this for work I was afraid to carry the phone without my Otterbox around it so I never really utilized this pouch as I could have. The cover flap is shaped to allow the handles of a pair of pliers or cutters to stick out, however, there is no provision to let the ends of said pliers/cutters poke through the bottom. I've never used this item to hold these tools, but I suspect if you did after several months of use you'd have a nice frayed hole at the bottom of your pouch where the pliers or cutters were rubbing on the material. The belt loop/clip is a good idea but there is a problem with the design. If you use it as a belt loop (either in vertical or horizontal positions) the belt clip tends to dig into your side (unless you have a heavy leather belt like I do). The clip does work well but I'm not sure how much I trust it from slipping while loaded with the tools I have in it. It's not overloaded, but if placed at a severe angle the weight of the tools inside can overcome the friction of the clip on my belt causing it potentially to fall off (I'm talking nearly hanging upside down here though, nothing you'd experience day-to-day. The flashlight loop on the exterior is also a great idea, and it is just the right size to fit a AA size Maglite. I actually would prefer carrying the pouch horizontal (with the flap opening forward rather than up) but I found that if i leaned over things the flashlight would tend to slip out of its loop (as well as the contents of the pouch trying to escape). This leads me to the biggest complaint about this item. I really wish someone would have had the foresight to include a bigger "fuzzy" square of velcro on the flap. The "scratchy" side on the pouch body is well placed and of a decent size, but if you dont have super tall items in your pouch (like a pair of pliers or bulky cell phone), there is no way to pull the flap down tight over the compartments to keep things from falling out. This is the only reason I subtracted a star from my rating. I'm not real sure what the built in clip is supposed to do but I removed it immediately after unboxing the pouch. The clip head is just too small to be able to snap anything but a jump ring for keys into . The materials and crafsmanship that went into this are clearly of high quality. All the seams are well-stitched and it feels like this pouch will stand up to a good amount of abuse. I have used it for over a year and it's still in great shape.

Designed for basic storage .great pouch ,worth the price !!
I've been using these pouches for years, as of maintenance technician they work out great for small basic tools and miscellaneous items needed. It would be great if they could design the back wall and belt loop holder of the pouch to be more solid so when tools and miscellaneous are stored ,it wouldn't sag as bad. But overall for the design it works out great.. I normally buy 2-3 per year.i carry mine everyday !!

Itโs great for maintenance
This phone tool pouch is a handy and versatile addition to any work setup. It securely holds your phone while offering extra compartments for small tools, pens, or accessories. The belt clip is strong and stays in place during movement, making it ideal for jobs that require mobility. I liked the padded interior that protects the phone from bumps and scratches. The material feels durable and weather-resistant, which is great for outdoor use. That said, the pouch is a bit snug for larger phones with bulky cases. Still, itโs a practical solution for keeping essentials close and organized on the job. The price was excellent for the item.

Looksโฆ.
I gave it a three because the product they sent was obviously used. looks durable, but seriously it shouldโve been put aside or something but not sent to me. Waiting for a replacement now. AMAZON sent replacement two days later. This is a nice holder. I only really needed three but the extra two and nice. I donโt use the cover I folded inside. Itโs great.

Just What I Was Looking For
This cell phone/tool holder is sturdier than I expected, and has two secure options for attaching to belt or waistband. I use the sturdy metal clip, but there is a wide belt loop available as well. I use this mainly to carry small items I like to keep close at hand while gardening or working around our property, that I used to carry with limited success in pockets. Aside from my iPhone 6, I keep my leatherman, a stylus pen, a small cutting tool, and a small pair of scissors that I find handy, within easy reach, and I use the the loop at the side for a marking pen. I am not using the plastic key clip on the front...yet. My only concern is the durability of the clip over time, as it is plastic, but so far it appears that it would work well. I think that if there is a weakness at all, it would be with the clip, as I haven't had much luck with plastic clips, but it is low profile and since I probably won't use it, it will be fine for me. I love the design of the flap that holds everything securely in place. It is tapered in over the top of my cell phone so that it doesn't block the microphone or speaker which is handy as I like to listen to music or audiobooks and there is easy access to the earphone port if I need it. My stylus pen is roughly the length of a long gel pen, and while the case holds it snugly so I don't lose it, I can grab it quickly without having to lift the flap. The inside of the cell phone pocket and the underside of the flap is lined with a soft material that has a suede feel to it, but I assume is microfiber, an unexpected and nice touch for the price, and is paired with sturdy stitching all round so it should last a long time. The velcro closure is larger than I expected, and it won't easily come undone accidentally. The overall profile is compact and unobtrusive. It gets the job it was meant to do done, and does it very well. I give this compact belt phone/tool holder a solid five stars and I highly recommend it.

Surprisingly amazing.
I bought this for walkies that we use at work. While the walkies at work wouldn't have worked so good because it covers the talk button I now use it for my phone, voltage detector, and knife and I still have a spare pocket for something else. Better than any phone case on the market that clips onto a belt in my opinion.
