I ordered this speaker before I went away on holiday. First impressions are very good. I have had a lot of Bluetooth speakers, even though this isn’t the best for sound quality I have heard, this is the best for price. Don’t get me wrong this speaker sounds great for its size, vocals are crystal clear base is okay but could be better. But then you also have to look at the many other things this speaker has, like waterproof, drop proof and good battery life. If you want a speaker that has great sound quality for its size, something you can chuck around and dump in a pool this is definitely the speaker. All throughout the holiday this speaker was being chucked in bags, thrown around a pool, floating in the pool, continuously being submerged battered and Beaton and it’s come back looking as good as the day I purchased it. The only thing that’s a minor disappointment is the base, some songs it’s there, others you can hear it struggle and it lacks the thumping of the ground. But I love my base so I don’t think this would affect many people as the speaker sounds great anyway. Truly the most compact, tank of a speaker I have had. I’m in love with it, and I will be staying with UE for a while. Not to mention the app that comes with it, where you can pair many more speakers together. Let other people connect at the same time so you can all play music together. Turn the speaker on and off when it’s in your bag, adjust the EQ settings and so much more, honestly all the features of this speaker out weighs the small lack of base.

Having ordered various speakers and mini hi-fi systems from Amazon in the past, I was a bit wary that this was going to be like the others and a disappointment compared to the glowing reviews. I need not have worried, it's an amazing little speaker. It feel solid and well made, not too heavy but in no way could be described as flimsy or plasticy, in fact it's just right. Sound wise it's got good bass and projects a decent wide stereo sound stage. It definately has a "front" and "back" to the sound, so if you're "behind" it you can tell it's not quite as good, but still far better than you'd normally expect for this size of speaker. The waterproof capability seems to work well, even though I'm not sure you'd want to try to listen to it if it was floating around in a pool as the sound is muffled by the water. But for something to listen to outside at a typical BBQ (i.e. it's raining), or use on the beach or by a pool without worrying then it's excellent. Bluetooth connectivity seemed reliable and battery life was very good. Only thing I wasn't so keen on was that the connect/disconnect/power off/on beep from the speaker is a bit loud if you're somewhere quiet (e.g. camp site late at night) but that's about it. Overall a great little speaker and worth every penny.

Although I must preface this by clearly professing my love for Sonos (we have A Beam Gen 2, 2 One SLs and the Sub Mini as our home cinema system), I was a little disappointed when trialling the Rome " for use in the garden etc - thought it was solid but not to the level I've come to expect from them. I saw this on sale here for £60 less than the Rome 2 and figured given the good reviews I'd have a punt - and boy am I glad I did, because this thing sounds immense given it's comparative size similarity to the Rome 2. It's fully tweakable to your own EQ preferences, but straight out of the box it is genuinely surprising how BIG it sounds - not just in a bass-heavy way, but almost comparable to a quality soundbar that is maybe 3 times larger. Deep lows - decent mid-range and excellent on vocal tracks, I've been genuinely surprised just how good this thing can be - to the point now 2 of my neighbours have bought one after hearing mine! The one thing this just knocked the Sonos completely into the dirt on is the practical omni-directional sound - you could have this thing in the middle of you and someone else and you get the same sound in all directions, whereas some outdoor speakers need to face you in order to give you a decent, balanced sound. Loved this so much I bought another one so I can pair it and have proper stereo!

I use these speakers for work as a dance and music teacher because they're compact, and light. Perfect for transporting around with great sound pay-off. I bought my UEBoom2 in 2018 and it is still going strong to this day, even though it's been kicked around, but the connectivity between UEBooms means I can get 2 or more speakers going together which is great for dance classes. I bought this speaker with the view that it would have the same accessible connectivity as it's predecessor which hasn't been the case. I find it'll connect to the 'newest' unit, and not play everything it's needed too on these devices. I use both a Mac, and PC (as well as iPhone) for work and cannot trust this new speaker to play between Spotify/YouTube and Apple Music seamlessly. Often it just won't play sound from browsers at all and it isn't as easy to adjust the sound. The sound is by far superior, but the accessibility i've come to love with UE2 is not the same with UE3. I actively choose my original speaker if i only need to use one in all scenarios, because I can rely on it. Connecting both speakers creates an awesome sound when I teach, and because the sound quality is better on the UE3, i keep that at the back of the room to really fill the space, and keep my weedier one nearer me. Overall, great speaker, but i can't help but comparing it and feeling it falls short.

Bought this after returning a device by a different manufacturer due to bluetooth connection issues with Ubuntu Linux. (a manufacturer who makes wireless ear buds with no such problems...) Am very happy with this - bluetooth actually works how it should (it allows multiple devices to be paired to it, then each device connects when I tell it to, and ONLY when I tell it to). So far have 100% success rate. It also works great with my Android phone (which is to be expected really...). The design is nice, it sounds good. Its also happy to be left plugged in to the charger and still works while charging. The only downside is that its MicroUSB and not USB-C like we would expect in 2023, but for me, thats not an issue as its a fixed installation in a bedroom. Would recommend.

I love UE booms. My first one lasted 8 years and has been on a lot of trips, holidays and festivals. The sound quality is great but the battery does go noticable quicker when on full volume. I love it because it's the perfect size for traveling and provides great audio for a good price point. It's easy to connect to and overall would highly recommend

I gifted this to my partner for Christmas as they didn't have a speaker to listen to music on, I myself being someone who classes themselves as a bit of an audiophile was looking for a Bluetooth speaker that my partner could appreciate all my music suggestions on at a good quality but wasn't super expensive as they are just not deep into audio quality, like myself. I found that the price range and sound quality decently sits in the high end of Bluetooth speakers for the average music consumer who wants something a little special. The portability of the speaker is brilliant, my partner has taken it out to hangouts with friends and also used it at home as a nice ambience creator for small gatherings and parties. The volume from such a tiny speaker is incredibly impressive and it does manage to fill a room nicely. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend for anyone looking to take music on the go with them with pretty good sound quality.

The UE3 is a fantastic speaker that is a go anywhere product and is easily synced with the iPad! As long as I have a cell connection or a WiFi link I’m wired for quality sound. It’s worth the money!
