That ended up not being the case, this saw cuts fantastic, if you can run a circular saw for wood you can run this saw through metal. It shows pictures of people cutting square tubing but it didn’t do very well through that in my opinion, chop saw is much better rated for that application. I cut up a 5’x10’ sheet of 3/8” steel plate like I knife through butter. The saw is very loud and throws metal chips everywhere so I recommend and face shield and ear plugs, rolling magnet makes clean up easy. When buying a replacement blade make sure to buy the 20mm bore blade that is the goofy size it takes.
