However, the top barely opens wide enough for my calves, even at the top of the boot and the bottom of my calf. They are also VERY narrow. I normally wear a 9 1/2 wide, but have been buying size 10 in everything footwear, and have never had a width problem - until now. Lots of reviews say these boots run big - NOT THE CASE. I definitely would have ordered larger had I known.
