A new edition of Keri Smith's bestseller, with updated material Think of Wreck This Journal as the anarchist's Artist's Way -- the book for those who've always wanted to draw outside the lines but were afraid to do it. For anyone who's ever wished to, but had trouble starting, keeping, or finishing a journal or sketchbook comes Wreck This Journal , an illustrated book featuring a subversive collection of suggestions, asking readers to muster up their best mistake - and mess-making abilities to fill the pages of the book (and destroy them). Through a series of creatively and quirkily illustrated prompts, acclaimed artist Keri Smith encourages journalers to engage in "destructive" acts - poking holes through pages, adding photos and defacing them, painting with coffee, colouring outside the lines, and more - in order to experience the true creative process. With Keri Smith's unique sensibility, readers are introduced to a new way of art and journal making, discovering novel ways to escape the fear of the blank page and fully engage in the creative process. Review: Kids love this - This is my all time fav birthday first and return gift too! Kids love it Review: Grab it while you can - If you're someone who's in need of something that might add up to your journaling with a bit of fun, nothing else could be better. You could both write whatever you personally wanna get off of your chest, but in a creative way. Spice up your journaling now!

Buy this book but from somewhere else
I am dissatisfied with the way the book was handled. It's pages were folded and torn slightly and the front page had stains. If I am buying a new book I expect it to be in mint condition. The book itself is great. We are taught to keep our books properly and doodling and tearing pages of books is seen badly so to be able to absolutely wreck this book in so many different ways is something new and fun. So in conclusion, buy this book but from somewhere else.

A great journal
The book is really indulging. It gives you tasks which take you out of your comfort zone and encourages you to actually wreck it! Its fun to do the tasks and is a great stress releaser. I will surely recommend it to anyone who wants to do stuff and get a relief of the negative. It also has some deep things which will help you get that pile of emotion lighter.

Amazing.
Let's see, where do I start? Wow. Okay. This book, THIS BOOK is absolutely amazing. I don't think I've had more fun with anything else than I have had with this book. I'm not finished with it yet - but I've been using water-colors, pastels, markers, paint, dirt, stickers, tape, glue, ect. Anything and everything I can think of. It's more than a journal that you wreck and tear apart. When it's finished with it, yes; it's ragged, but it's not just ragged. It's beautiful. If you use it right, you can turn it into a masterpiece. "To create is to destroy" is it's catch-phrase, after all. So, yes, this book is amazing and well worth buying.
