So, I read a lot of the reviews of this polish, and much like any other product, they varied. What stood out most was the fact that several reviewers thought that you definitely needed a black undercoat before applying this polish to get the desired effects. That was not the case for me. I had black on hand, but it was the type that needed UV lamp, and believe me, I won't ever be using that kind of polish again. I literally burned the nails of my thumbs! Too risky so I decided to try regular setting polishes again instead. Plus, it's just easier to remove when the time comes. Getting back to the application of this product, I used a basic base coat, 2 coats of the polish (this was the Teal shade MC-05) and a topcoat. I thought I'd just be getting a nice shade of teal, but, several days later I'm in my car and the nails looked mostly purple in the sunshine. I took pics but please know that we are in the process of moving so my nails are getting ABUSED bigtime! They don't look great, but the colors are what I wanted to show you. No black, just the polish itself and I honestly really liked the teal/purple changing shade. Looking forward to trying out the other shades as well! Obviously I can't yet attest to how well it lasts once applied, cuz, I'm using my hands a lot and expect shorter wear and chipping for that reason, but I can say I do like it, and for me, no black necessary.

Product arrived on time with the packaging intact. Do note in the description that the size of the bottles are smaller than average, but serves as a great way to try out some magnetic polishes on the cheaper side. The Born Pretty polish itself is less saturated than the image would suggest, as is typically the case with these studio images, but I understood that when purchasing. I have tried out a single coat application of the green and purple magnetic polish, and both responded well to a 30 lb pull Horseshoe magnet. Since this polish *is* magnetic, any strong magnet should do, which allows for a lot of options in designs. In both my instances of using the Born Pretty polish, I chose a complementary dark polish as the base the paint the magnetic polish over. Very pleased with how smoothly the polish applied, as well - not too thick, not too thin! Very happy with my results, thus far, and I feel it was worth the price. It's extremely pretty and a great introduction into magnetic polish.

Overall, I absolutely love this polish! The first color I’ve used is breathtakingly beautiful as it shimmers from Purple to Blue. It was easy to apply and coated my nails nicely. The polish was also fast-drying. The only complaint I have, is that after only one day, the polish appears to be cracking under the clear topcoat I applied. I used a clear base coat, three polish coats and a final coat of sealer. I’ll keep this color and see how well it performs over time since they claim it doesn’t chip. So as of now, I give this Born Pretty Nail Polish 4 stars! 🌟 ✨I’ve had this polish on my nails for almost a week and zero chips so far! I am liking this polish more every day!

Beautiful colors, unfortunately the formula isn’t good. Super runny and streaking. Couldn’t build up to anything pigmented. If I could return I would!

First let me start by saying that everyone rating these polishes poorly based on the sheerness of the polish and the size, does not know how to use these polishes. Don't rate something poorly because you don't understand it. These nail polishes are intended to be worn over a dark base, like black. They're sort of in the family of "toppers", nail polishes intended to be worn atop a base in order to create an accent or effect. These polishes, when worn over a black base, look exactly as the picture in the product description. As for people complaining about the size, if you read the description before you buy it, you'd see that it clearly says the bottles are approx 6ml. And if you don't know how much that is, then grab one of your polishes you likely already own and compare the size. Most drugstore brand polishes are close to 14ml, therefore it would be safe to assume that the product you'll receive will be about half the size of a regular polish you're used to buying. Then there's no surprise. Read people! Why would you rate a product poorly because of your own misunderstanding that has nothing to do with the quality of the product received?! Now for my personal thoughts about the product itself: these polishes are gorgeous and take only one coat over black to really get that color-shifting effect. I personally used 2 coats to make it a bit bolder but the difference between 1 coat vs 2 wasn't that much. If using only 1-2 thin coats over black (like you're supposed to) then the small size of the bottle doesn't matter because it'll last you longer. The quality of the color shift was (to me) on the same level as KB Shimmer polishes. BEAUTIFUL. As with most multichromes, the effect is strongest in natural light, and I can't stop looking at my hands. My Top Home and Tu Es Ma Lumiere both have holographic glitters while L Heure Bleue has small green glitters. My Top Home shifts between yellow, orange, green and at times almost a pink? Tu Es Ma Lumiere has blue/purple and yellow/orange like colors. L Heure Bleue shifts between purple, green and blue. What makes them such high quality is that you can even see some of the color shift indoors in normal low lighting. Some duo/multichromes are very dull indoors, but not these!!! I can't wait to use these for nail art! Right now I wore them alternating to test them out, but I already have friends who adore them. I may need to get a few as gifts, and at $15 for 3 polishes, that's not bad at all! I will definitely be buying these again in the future and recommending them to everyone. In the picture: My Top Home is worn on my thumb and ring finger, Tu Es Ma Lumiere is on my pointer and pinky, and L Heure Bleue is on my middle finger. (Yes, the names are confusing. You'd expect that L Heure Bleue to be the more deep blueish one, but it is not. It's the one with the strong green shift and the green glitters. Go figure.)

This is nice polish- goes on great over a base coat, but the colors are not the bright, pretty colors pictured in the images. The colors are very dark. So if you’re hoping for the sheer jelly look, with bright pretty colors, this isn’t going to give you that at all, but your nails will be super glossy looking with deep jelly colors.

These are truly beautiful nail polishes by themselves or they can be layered.

The bottles are small, the colors aren't as vibrant as in the picture, the brush is too wide making it difficult to get an even coat and the polish itself is very thick. To me it is like trying to paint syrup on your nails.

Die Farben sind sehr schön. Ich mag Nagellack der schön glitzert. Vorallem hält er fast eine Woche. Würde ich auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen. Mal sehen ob vielleicht irgendwann noch andere Farben gibt. Er riecht sehr angenehm.

I am giving this to a friend for xmas. Can't wait. The bottles ate small but look in great shape amd the colour looks great.

Smalti carini, anche se non hanno la stessa resa della foto; servono più passate ma comunque non danno quel colore arcobaleno/striato che si fa vedere in foto. Il colore cambia in base alla luce. Si fa fatica a rimuovere, bisogna tenere le unghie a bagno nell'acetone
