NOT suitable for the UK market, being 110/120v and not 220/230v.
**BEWARE** This product is 110/120volt and not suitable for the UK market, which is 220/230volt. Furthermore the seller Century Tree Ltd, whilst having a UK trading address, provides a USA returns label and insists on the purchaser paying the return postage, which was £30.10. The one star is nog a rating and merely allows the feedback to be submitted.

I am have been spending time out of state to see a doctor for treatments not available in my area. When in TX, I stay with a friend who lives there and am there for several weeks at a time. My friend in TX has a Vita Mix and I really enjoyed having a healthy smoothie in the morning. When I came home, I found I missed it and my energy was not as good. Being unable to afford a Vita Mix, I set out to find something affordable that would blend my smoothies for me. I came to Amazon, looked over their choices, read some reviews here and on other sites. Bottom line on this one seemed to be it was good but not as good as the Vita Mix. Obviously, a 450 watt motor is not likely to do the same job as a 1380 watt motor but all I needed was acceptable and much less expensive. I settled on the Ninja Master Prep and chose the opton for a 450 watt motor. From the beginning, I was very satisfied with it. I waited to write the review, though, because it's hard to find organic greens in my area and I wanted to try it out with fresh greens before I reviewed. I made my first smoothie with fresh Kale in the Ninja yesterday and the second today. The results were more than satisfactory. I've made many frozen smoothies in the Ninja, using both frozen fruits and ice cubes and it has made quick work of those. Fresh vegetables break down well. It does take some extra time compared to the Vita Mix but that was expected. I have found the resulting smoothies to be slightly more 'pulpy' when using ingredients like carrots, cucumbers with peel, and fresh greens but not to a degree which rendered them unpalatable. Unlike some people who have written Vita Mix reviews, I didn't find it to be perfect in that regard, either. It doesn't liquify the veges to the point I didn't know they were there I find a tiny chunk of frozen fruit in my smoothies every now and then but I also found that, on occasion with the Vita Mix, also. Smoothies made in my Ninja come through a straw easily and I don't feel I'm giving anything up when using it as opposed to the Vita Mix. The food processor part of the Ninja Master Prep turned out to be a lovely surprise. I find myself making salsa and all kinds of recipes that need evenly chopped vegetbles because it is so easy with the Ninja. With other food choppers and processors, I find veges sometimes turn to mush or come out unevenly chopped which has not been a problem at all with this one. Bottom line: Saved over $400 by going with the Ninja as opposed to the Vita Mix and still enjoy healthy, tasty, refreshing smoothies every day and I got t a great chopper that's made life in the kitchen easier as a bonus. It's worth every penny. If your budget doesn't allow for a blender that costs almost $500, you won't go wrong with the Ninja Master Prep.

Important to note: My comments are in the context of having been a Vitamix user for over 20 years. We bought the Ninja because we were looking for something to replace our Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus. We were attracted to the Ninja because the reviews said it turned out more consistent results compared to others. We also noted that people warned about how quickly it could turn ingredients from chunks to mush. Both are very true. What we love about the Ninja is that it's super light, and easy to assemble and clean. It's also very quiet compared to other machines. And, the bases are super stable--no traveling across the counter as our Vitamix wants to do sometimes. What's remarkable is how quickly the Ninja breaks down ingredients. We've been going crazy making nut butters, including peanut and pecan butters. That's where the Ninja totally shines in comparison to all other machines (and we've used them all, from the Vitamix and Cuisinart to others!). Quiet, effective, and speedy are the three words to describe the Ninja. We also made raw cranberry relish (raw cranberries, apples, whole oranges, and dates) that the Ninja zipped out in seconds. It's true that the Ninja won't turn out the kind of silky smooth cream soups that the Vitamix will, but if the Vitamix earns an A+ in this use case, the Ninja earns an A-. You also can't beat the price: Less than 10% of the cost for a Vitamix. Do the math. It's a simple equation if you don't absolutely need silky smooth textures. And there's no comparison with the Cuisinart Mini-Prep, which we found to be noisy, OK for salsa and courser chopping, but not great at nut butters. For the easy of use, what it produces, quietness, and price, the Ninja can't be beat.

The food processor chops like crazy im always tempted to just toss in garlic instead of using a knife. Initially got this for my son to use as a blender. I ended up testing it before him. PROS: easy to use. I like that the motor is up top, no risk of anything spilling on it. Changing it from blender to processor is easy too. The blender pitcher is nice, and has an opening if you wanna pour liquids in, or to use as a spout for pouring. The food processor container has measurements which makes life easier. They’re both plastic but seems high quality (we'll see i guess). I use the food processor to make cauliflower rice and all it takes is 5 pulses to get the right consistency. However since the container is small, a head of cauli takes about 6 trips to rice-ify the whole thing. It also comes with 2 lids for each container, which i thought was a nice addition CONS: when you remove the motor top, it flips to one side or rolls cause it’s round. Wish it can stand on it’s own. I dont think you can use it for thick blending, i tried blending some really soft potatoes i cut into small pieces to make into mashed potatoes and the motor ran hot. I got scared, didnt wanna break it, so i stopped lol. The food processor container is also small but maybe all processors are like that? All in all i’m happy with it. I also got it for $58 so pricepoint-wise it’s also good. I hope it lasts a while!

Buen producto. Lo único mal es que después de un tiempo el recipiente se quiebra y puede llegar a romperse.
