Easy and so health giving
Easy and so health giving. I had an injured knee that everyone was pushing me to have surgery on. I happened to see this exercise routine being done on PBS one day and I did the exercise. My knee immediately started to heal. I have done them intermittently for the last couple of years and I have absolutely no knee problems, no joint problems. Before you consider surgery, do the first part of this exercise for a while. You might be surprised that you will heal without surgery. I like the fact that they are separate sections and you can do just the exercises that you want. And she doesn't take up a bunch of your time chatting. They take no more than 20 minutes.

Real yoga, buy this, won't be sorry!! five stars
Omg.....got this for Christmas from my hubby...LOVE it!!!!!! Very slow, very fluid movements, this is real yoga, not this fast paced hold the posture for 3 seconds crap.I did the first two workouts and whoa, I was incredibly relaxed. She has a beautiful English accent, has a soothing demeanor about her, and encourages you to just go at your own pace or do what you can. I am a denise Austin fan when I work out and this is a nice change in pace for me, there are definitely some poses I'm not great at but if I get to where I can't do it I just do one similar so I don't get out of sync with the mood. It's very mind peaceful and I wish I had this dvd years ago. This will not break a sweat, didn't for me, it's not too lose weight, it's just to help your mind, your balance, great for posture, stretching, there are definitely some poses that work the muscles but nothing I couldn't handle and didn't get sore. I have never done yoga like this and I love it. You won't be sorry if you want real yoga. It's for beginners or intermediate but the dvd says novices can do it too to. I would consider my self intermediate and was very fulfilled.Do not buy if you want a face paced weight loss deal, this is something you may want to do after a workout or in between workout days.I would buy this again in a heartbeat, gorgeous settings too and the music is very soothing too, even my hubby said "what is that in there, I like it?!"

Another good Tara Lee video
I am a bit picky about yoga videos. For me, it's very hard to replicate an actual class in any way other than a class! I have two other videos of hers (Air/Water and Fire) and like them both. This one is set up the same way, with the first section being more focused on breathing, or centering, or similar. It's not really a flow sequence. The next two are more what I think of when I think of a flow class. This video seems less advanced than the other two... maybe that is on purpose, since it's "foundation." The explanations are enough to useful without being distracting. It is a well rounded sequence, which I like. All these videos... yoga for abs, yoga for weight loss, yoga for a better butt... Why? This is gimmicky. A good, varied yoga class/video will use most of the body in some way.

Gentle effective exercises and easy on the back
I really like this DVD a lot. I have many yoga dvd's. Everything from Denise Austin, to Raviana Kundalini, to the 10 minute series, Shiva Rea and more. I like them all for various reasons. The reason I like this DVD so much is because it is gentle on the body/back yet it makes you feel wonderful and healthy. I have lower back issues so I especially like the gentle lower back movements in the first section.I also like it because the movements are unique and enjoyable to do. And not too hard yet effective. Not long ago I did section one and two and afterwards I walked my dog. I noticed my posture was so straight, so upright naturally...all because of this video. Having this straight posture made me feel very healthy, "open" and led me to breathe better.Another time I did section one and three. That was also effective.I also pick this up when I don't have a lot of energy but want to feel good. This dvd offers a lot and I am happy I have it.

and I would be bored, but she doesn't
I got this yoga dvd after I got her Flow-water dvd which was a top 10 yoga workout for 2014. I was worried she would use the same basic techniques as her other, and I would be bored, but she doesn't! It is much different from Flow. I like that the workout is broken into three main portions, or can be played together. There are nice special features. Most of all, I like it because she focuses on challenging, breathing, and the flow without overwhelming. She goes slow enough and explains well enough that I don't have to stare at the screen the whole time and worry I am doing things wrong. She has a well rounded knowledge, and shares it with you. She has a calming voice as well, and that is always nice to help relax you in the middle of an Iso hold that is straining you. I am looking forward to getting her Fire DVD for Christmas!

This is my first Tara Lee DVD and I love it. I was a regular and devoted yoga ...
This is my first Tara Lee DVD and I love it. I was a regular and devoted yoga practitioner many years ago, then let up so I am not necessarily a beginner other than in my current fitness level. I found her voice very pleasing and at a nice comforting pace. I also enjoyed the background music as well. I did tend to get distracted by the lovely birds flitting around in the background but that is just me and a minor issue. I enjoyed the breathing instruction, and slow but steady yoga flow. I would recommend this DVD and am going to order more from Tara Lee. I have other DVD's by Rodney Yee, and Patricia Walden and am very happy to have discovered Tara Lee

Overall really good but felt a few things were missing.
There are 3 main routines around 20-25 minutes each and they each get slightly more challenging. You start the DVD and have the option of jumping right into a main routine or do some of the extras like a 10 minute breathing (to start) or a 5 minute relax (to end). Then it takes you back to the main menu and you can go into the main routine of choice.Personally, I think every Yoga should begin with a warm up so I really prefer the way the menu option choices are setup for the Flow Yoga DVD, which is a matrix type of menu giving you all your run options so you don't have to keep reverting back to the main menu to do a warm up or cool down. When I 1st used the DVD, I expected a warm before each main routine automatically but it went right into the routine which was a bit jarring.Other than some overall DVD formatting issues to make the overal video flow better, it's a decent beginners Yoga DVD. I did think that some of the positions where challenging in set 3 routine and since it is geared at beginners, maybe Lee could've gone a bit slower when taking us through the positions and explaining how to breath but it's a nice DVD.If you don't have a lot of time, it's geared perfectly for that. I do it on weekday mornings and then do the longer, more intense Flow Yoga DVD with Monica Gonzalo on the weekends.

Another great dvd from Tara Lee
I took up yoga when I discovered I was pregnant with my second baby. I had SPD with my first child so was keen to try and allay that happening again and turned to Tara Lee Pregnancy Yoga to help me do that. I loved it, and not only did it hold off my SPD, it gave me a sense of calm and peace that I loved. I followed this with Tara's post natal dvd which again, I loved but a few months down the line I was looking for something a little more challenging. I was sad that there didn't seem to be another Tara Lee dvd that wasn't pregnancy or postnatal based... and then I found this and it went straight into my basket. I had previously loved Tara's style and simplicity, she isn't in the least bit patronising and has a very easy to listen to voice that lends itself to the practice of yoga well and this is certainly true of this dvd also. The yoga itself is more challenging than the pregnancy and postnatal yoga I have been doing, as you would expect and indeed hope, but is not so challenging as to be off putting. I've tried a few other dvd's along the way but always come back to Tara and LOVE the way this dvd makes me feel. I really hope there will be more in the series! Absolutely Amazing Yoga DVD with Tara Lee :-) *************************************************************
This is the most amazing Yoga DVD that I have ever used. Tara Lee has a very lovely manner of speaking and she puts you right at ease. I do think it would be helpful if you have done a little bit of Yoga before as the program can be very intense at times. It starts with a introduction. Then the 3 main Practices can be watched separately or as one continues workout. There is also a 5 minute Savasana. The bonus feature contains: 'Earth - Balances (9 mins)', 'Air & Water - Breathing (10 mins)', 'Fire-Core (Advanced) (10 mins)', Tara Lee - Questions & Answers, credits. You can choose to do the Yoga with music & instructions or with the music only. The video is well filmed and it is easy to see how to do the poses. I like it because it is a good workout as well as very relaxing. I feel really good after doing the main 3 practices. I usually do it as one continues workout with a couple of pauses to have some water. Since I have started doing this for the last couple of days, I have a much greater sense of self-awareness and I feel more energetic. You should definitely buy this DVD because if I can feel a difference in less than a week, imagine how you will feel after a month or two :-)

I love it
Really good. As other people have said you can almost do the moves without looking, which in its own way makes it much easier to get the moves right, as you don't have to strain your head round to work out what is going on! The main work out (the 3 parts together) takes just under an hour and is suitable for beginners. The extras are also ok to do for beginners and people with a little experience, with the exception of the fire one - which is hard!I used to go to a pliates class, before I had my children, so I do know most of the moves which helps. Having said that, compared to the other DVD that I have, this one is much better. The other one was also rated highly but I really like this one as it actually feels like Tara is not just doing it for show, she also isn't heavily made up and the background and filming is not intrusive.A great DVD, I will probably go ahead and get the water and fire DVDs too... when I get a little bit better at it all again!

A perfect way to introduce more activity into your life - and it's a great stress buster too.
I love this DVD. I am overweight, and have led quite a sedentary lifestyle. To undertake a gruelling fitness routine would be counterproductive as I would do it for a while then give it up completely (I know, I've tried lots of different things!). Yoga, however, is a much gentler way of exercising. The workout it give you shouldn't be underestimated - it's reckoned that 20 minutes of yoga burns around 60-70 calories, and I can well believe that. A slower calorie burn than other forms of exercise, but still a step in the right direction. I can feel that after doing this for a few weeks my body is already becoming stronger and more toned. I am exercising without getting bored of it, and as I become fitter, my energy levels are increasing too.As an overweight person, I also get a lot of discomfort in my back. I find that the 20-minute practice routine on this DVD is enough to take that away completely. I do it in the evening after every working day, and it feels amazing. This is the longest I've ever stuck to daily exercising, and my enthusiasm for it is still very strong. Highly recommended!
