Our use has been to grind the batter once a week for the past seven years. The old model still works but the tall jar does not rotate properly, hence we purchased the new model. This is a really good mixer. While grinding dosa / idli batter you have to grind in small quantities. The mixer will get hot after 6mins or so, then you let it cool for a few mins before proceeding. In about 20 mins you are done. **Q: Does this work in US? Are you referring to Overseas as outside US?** A: Does not work in the USA.
