Worth the money
This is a very nice kit with pretty much everything you need to cut hair at home. The sheers seem solid and worked right out of the case.

great
these are great. i had a previous Wahl brand clippers set that lasted me a few years but when i bought it from a navy exchange store, it was damaged. even so, still worked great. had a piece broken off/missing in the middle of the unit near the blades so hair was always getting stuck in it. and i over oiled the blades. but they worked great! i’ve been shaving the sides of my head for years now and learned how to give myself a proper fade and make it look nice. i wanted another newer Wahl set because the last one was so good. and these are really good! i actually read the instructions (highly recommend) and learned not to over oil the blades and not to oil them every single time i use them. it’s super easy to use since this just plugs in and the guards snap on. i feel comfortable using them bare/without a guard too (i typically do a 0 to .5 to 1 fade). power level is strong so i never feel like it’s weak or anything. and they are definitely sharp. i do cut my ear on occasion when im not being more precise so be careful! i never notice it overheating but i dont use it for more than 10 mins at a time, and i dont leave it running for more than a minute or two at a time. i also like that it comes with oil and a brush to spread the oil, as well as a stiff brush to brush the hairs out of the blade. the mini razor is great too, i use it for the bikini area exclusively. but i’ve found that it snags on the hair and hurts a little so i might recommend oiling it a little more to help with that, and exfoliating the area to the hair is prepped and the skin is free of dead skin. overall, great set and i see this lasting me as long as the last one did, if not longer truthfully. purchase with confidence.

Good utility but some issues with quality
This is decent and had been working fine. I like the trimmer which can cut really close. The only issue was that one of the Prongs on the buzzer broke and not sure how as we never dropped it.

Does Its Job Nicely
Didn't score battery life because I used only the clipper that has a power cord. That was all I needed. There are a whole lot of attachments for the larger clipper that would obviously be helpful to someone who is cutting hair all over the head - my use is to shave down a thick beard so I don't use them except for the combs which are very helpful, sturdy and useful. The cape or apron is very large which I like, very thin which I don't like, and the hook & loop strips on the back are in an awkward place and I found it very difficult to fasten them, and not very well, so that they came apart while I shaved. I'll have to work on improving my skills with that, or just give up. The blades are very sharp and will stay that way, I'm sure, if the unit is up to the usual Wahl stuff - I had an earlier model for nearly 55 years before the motor gave up. As to the battery powered unit it would be more than great if it came along with a stand so that I could set it upright and take less space. I would use it to fine tune the beard until it was time to use the powered unit. Overall, I'd recommend it for others: maybe a friend or family resident could help fasten that apron.

Great deal for home haircutting
Great value for the money. It might not be heavy duty like an Oster, but it’s not heavy weight like an Oster either. I liked that. Comes with all the items you need for a great home haircuts (minus cape and spray bottle).

Great affordable set
Got this set for my partner on the Black Friday sale. This is the exact set he wanted and has no complaints. The noise level is comparable to his last set that stopped working. He enjoys having all the different accessories to cut his hair. This set cuts his hair exactly how he wants, and doesn’t have any irritations using it. He said this is the best value money can buy. Price at the time of purchase $40.87 Price at the time of review $50

Not as impressive as I envisioned
As of this review, I ordered it one year ago, minus a week and some days, and have used it 5 times. I got this product based on all the positive reviews and the alleged quality of the name brand, but soon found myself quite disappointed with it. I'm one to follow the directions and perform the maintenance as indicated in the directions. Maybe the first cut or two worked alright at first, but not as fantastical as I was led to believe. Many reviewers say that it doesn't pull or snag the hair and claim it can cut through thick hair, and I have a thick head full of hair and envisioned myself being able to just run the trimmer across my head in columns like a lawn mower and quickly and easily buzz off all my hair from how the reviews sounded. I was horribly mistaken as it kept yanking and pulling my hair as I slowly moved it along so it hopefully wouldn't struggle to cut through it all. Then on my 4th use of the product right in the middle of cutting my hair, something happened where the buzzing noise intensified and the screw adjustment wasn't doing anything in either direction, so after trying to adjust the blade and troubleshoot it myself and look for Youtube videos for anyone else with such an issue, I called customer service because I was ready to return it. I saw somewhere on their website that they provided prepaid postage to return it, but the representative said they don't provide any and I have to pay myself to return the apparently defective product. If that's the case, remove anything about prepaid postage off the website to avoid any confusion. In addition, the representative seemed pretty callous and uncaring toward the fact that I was halfway thru when it crapped out on me, doing this at 9 at night so I wasn't able to go out somewhere and get my hair properly cut before work the next day and had to cut the rest by hand. I bought this product to save money and not have to go get my hair cut, and I'm not going to cave and shell out my own money on shipping it back for their defective product with snooty, uncaring customer service. I will, however, try to do my homework better and look thru reviews on other brands from people who review the product after having used it an extended period, such as myself. I'm thinking a lot of people probably just review after the first use and that's that... Since then, I seemed to have gotten it to at least cut somewhat again after some finagling with it, but it still feels like it's yanking hair straight out of my head at times, even with the oiling of the blades and other such "maintenance"... In conclusion, I'm giving this a 3/5 instead of 2/5, simply for the fact that I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, and maybe I just got a poorly made one out of a million, but am not going thru the hassle of a return and having to pay for that shipping myself.
