With around 170 pounds total load (which includes my backpack), this just goes about 6 miles in town. Manufacturer says this does not do regenerative stops (does not use the motor as dynamo to charge scooter when you slowdown). Suggest to get a scooter which can do regenerative stops, but was told that most such low-cost scooters do not do regenerative stops: a few extra electric components are required to boost the dynamo voltage (which is speed-dependent) up to the LiFePo4 voltage to do regenerative stops. 18mph does not sound fast if you are used to automotives, but it feels very fast if you are on a scooter. You should use approved pads to cushion your joints+head.
