I bought this robe for my mother for Christmas. She owned a gift shop for 25 years, so we don’t give gifts lightly in my family. I was anxious to find the best robe I could for her, but this robe met my high standards. I’d contemplated an L.L. Bean robe that was more expensive and only got this when that continued to be sold out, but I’m glad it was. The robe is extremely soft and hasn’t lost its luscious feel despite multiple washes. Some robes sort of go flat and lose their fluffiness, but this did not. The color is vivid, but not lurid, and it hasn’t faded after being washed with cold water for its first two washes. There were a few little linty bits when it initially arrived, but I think with basically anything this fluffy, that’s bound to happen. There weren’t a ton of them and it didn’t continue to shed, as some fuzzy things I’ve bought in the past have. My mother is a tall woman, so she’s never had the luxury of a long robe almost to the floor to keep her legs warm in the winter. It’s a main factor for why I bought this specific robe. I wanted her covered and I wanted her cocooned in softness. Mission accomplished! Even on her, the robe hit just a bit above the ankle, and she loves how cozy it is. I’m not sure how they made the hood, but it’s cut in such a way that... I don’t know how describe it. It’s like it wants to be on your head. Some hoods have a tendency to slide off or indifferently stay plopped where you put them until you agitate them. This robe’s hood is cut so that when you pull it over your head, it sort of... cradles it and you feel the slight weight of it around your head. It doesn’t “want,” to fall back. It’s very secure, without needing a string to tighten it light a hoodie would. The collar is thick and luxurious feeling. It overlaps, which has been a concern with previous robes I and my mother have had. As well-endowed women, some robes don’t have wide enough collars to be able to comfortably overlap over our chests, and our necks and collarbones can get surprisingly cold, leading us to have to clench the fabric together, which is a pain. She doesn’t have to do that with this robe. The cuffs are also thick and fluffy and cover her wrists, which has been an issue due to her height. Less than a month after getting this present, my mother was diagnosed with cancer; her issues with temperature regulation made more sense then. Chemo causes more of those problems in some people. This robe has been indispensable to her in the months since. She’s currently on a trip to her specialists and packed the robe. Often hotel rooms are cold and A/C systems are finicky; this robe is insurance for her. It’s also large enough to function as a throw on top of her covers if need be. For its size and warmth, it’s pretty light, which makes it a solid pick for travel as well. Despite me being petite, I believe I’ll get myself a robe as well; in my size it seems it would be just above the ground, and as I like the warmth of the full length full coverage style as well, that’s a big plus in my book. I tend to stick with just one heavy robe for about every six or seven years or so, so me choosing this is a big endorsement from me. Also, being from such a conscious gift-giving family, where every gift has meaning and thought behind it, considering it one of my best successes in several years is no small feat. I rarely leave five star reviews and am pretty picky, if I’m honest, but I cannot recommend this more.

Soft, comfy and fits great. The size is perfect and I like the length. The color is also very pretty and exactly how pictured. This was a gift but I bought one for myself after feeling how soft it was. The pockets are a good size too and it doesn’t shed. Great value and would purchase more as gifts.

The fabric is super soft, thick and so warm and cozy. I'm 5'9" and it actually comes down to my ankles and the sleeves are nice and long. No fake Sherpa collar or cuffs that turn gross after several washes. No shedding. I love it!

Get it! I am 5'7, measurements 37-33-45. My normal size in most garments is Large (medium in some tops) but I ordered the extra large to ensure this would wrap closed completely and be long. It is long to the floor (which I love) but does not drag. Super soft. Does not put lent on my clothes or furniture. Deep pockets for phone, puppy treats and poo bags 😄. Hell, if you have a teacup pup, it would likely fit in the pocket. The hood is super convenient for running a puppy with a small bladder out on cold mornings, without having to stop and put on real clothes. The burgundy-like color is rich and deep just like the photo. Elegant and super cozy!!!! Looooove it!

I am anticipating a higher heating bill this year & wanted something that I could wear to help keep the chill off so I didn't have to crank up the central heat. I wanted something that would reach to my ankles, yet was heavy enough to keep me warm. It's hard to buy sight unseen, but I decided to chance it with this one. I stand a bit over 5'6" & currently weigh about 165 lbs. I was a bit confused about the size & length descriptions, so I GUESSED at the XL. I could have chosen a size down, but was concered that it might be too short for my needs. I got the robe today. It came in a clear plastic bag, as it came out of the factory. Consequently, the bag was ripped badly, then ensconsed in tape to hold it all intact, although it was still exposed in several places. I was pleased to see no apparant damage. I'd chosen a deep wine color, but had it been of a lighter color, I suspect it may have shown some smudges in those unsealed areas. I was also pleased to see it is a very thick and soft fabric, though I wouldn't call it "fleece", which suggests sheep-like to this old farm girl. It is lined with the same soft,short-napped fabric on the outside. Still, I think it will be quite warm. I haven't had it long enough to attest to any shrinkage or shedding, but I don't anticipate any issues there. I think it may run a bit large in it's size. As for value, I got it with the Black Friday sales. I would not have paid the regular price, & had to think hard before buying it even at the sales price. I chose the color based on the varying prices applied to the color choices. One thing I wanted in a robe was pockets that would safely hold a cell phone. This one has two roomy patch pockets. I will probably put some buttons or snaps on the front, as this one ties at the waist, which on me is a bit too high. Overall, I think this is a very good option for winter wear. This old woman is quite satisfied. If you are much shorter or smaller, I'd suggest a size smaller. Note the length, as this one does reach the tops of my shoes, as I'd hoped. Any shorter, it would drag the floor.

Firstly its rare for me to give an item five stars. I have owned many robes through the years and at 5'7" and long arms, long torso, semi long legs I never found any that fit the way I'd like ....until now. The photo does make it appear that it is floor length and for some it may be indeed. For those of us on a taller side it will be long but may be only to your ankles. That alone is better than any I've owned prior. I'm honestly surprised it was that long! The arms are perfect in length as well...not overly long, not short, just enough to cover the base of my hands. The hood is perfect as well, not overly big but large enough to snuggly fit the head yet lightweight as to not feel like your annoyed. This robe is by far the softest material...almost velvet like. The hood against my face...well I could lay there against it all day and be perfectly content. The softness of this robe is by far the best feature..it almost feels like I'm in a soft warm nest. The pockets are perfect and fit my hands inside well. It has inner ties and an outer belt. It is surprisingly warm yet not heavy feeling. Hoping that washing doesnt change the softness but I will update once I do wash it and let it be known how it comes out. The pricing on this robe compared to what value I received cant be beat. I would easily expect the price for the quality of this robe, the length, warmth, and softness, all to be much higher pricing than what's asked. If undecided, don't be! Get one and you will probably love it as much as I do!

I bought this for my mom for Christmas. It is an annual tradition. She asks for a new robe and a couple of other items, and I always get her one. This year I went with ordering on Amazon rather than finding one in the store. I have to admit it is very long I am 6'2'' and it goes just above my ankles. I love the texture; it is very soft and comfortable. I wish it were a little thicker; it seems pretty thin. I usually try to get her thicker robes as she is tiny and cold very easily, but I am sure with pajamas, she will be just fine. I really love the price for the quality; it is a very nice, comfortable material, and, personally, it is just right. Overall, she will love this robe!

I'm 5'3, 144lb, bought a medium and it's a perfect fit. Hits right at the ankle bone, so no dragging on the ground, and not too short either. I often end up with sleeves too long and buy petite stuff for that reason, but these are just right for me. It's not so big that it looks sloppy or matronly, but if you like a roomier fit then just size up. Unbelievably soft and plush. Not too lightweight, it's a good thickness without feeling overly hot, just cozy. The inner tie is a bit slick because it's like ribbon, so it can take a second to get it tied securely, I wouldn't think it'd be a big deal to remove it and stitch a different fabric to tie the inside if that bugs you. The hood is fine in terms of size, some folks seem to think it's too small, I guess I have a normal size head so it works for me. I have never bought a robe with a hood, but it does feel nice to put the hood up after you get out of the shower and your hair is damp, especially being December. Having said that, this isn't a robe I would wear year round. I like a lighter weight cotton or jersey robe in warm weather. If you are looking for a cozy soft as heck robe to cuddle up in at the end of your day, or to lounge in on days off, this is just perfect. I'm thinking of buying another in a different color.
