Fiskars 7 Inch Designer Student Scissors, Color Received May Vary

This is my second purchase of these scissors, they are my favorite scissors specifically for keeping around for every day use. I keep a pair on my desk and a pair in my van at all times. I love the nonstick feature and they are not as giant as a regular pair of adult scissors but still have all the great features without being a pair of "kiddie scissors" - you can do a decent amount of cutting with them without feeling fatigued or disappointed with the results. I also use them to open clamshell packaging and remove those annoying plastic "T" thingys that attach hang tags to clothing, socks, dolls, and stuffed animals. They would receive A review of five stars - however - one pair that I own developed a large a random crack in the plastic where the shear bolts to the handle- with about three months of normal, perhaps rare usage. I purchased them at the end of August during back-to-school sales and by mid-November they were cracked and rendered completely useless, because every time you would squeeze that handles the Crack would widen and not allow the metal shear parts to meet properly. They were the pair that I keep in my van cupholder so there is a chance that the cold temperatures did a number on them? Fiskers does have a lifetime guarantee, so I plan on sending them in for a replacement. In the meantime I purchased this pair on Amazon, which is an exactly identical pair with the exception of not being able to choose the pattern. I received camouflage and they are really nice but a little hard to find in the chaos of a family of three kids, versus the hot pink and orange tie-dye pair that I had picked out previously :)

I love these scissors, I had bought my grandson a smaller pair at a store, they were nice, so I seen these and thought they would be nice for my sisters. However, in the description it says color will vary, I thought it meant shading variation, not a complete pattern difference. I wanted the black and white floral as shown, I got a waved multi colored line and a pair that have the peace symbol on them. They are still great scissors, just not the actual pattern I wanted. So that is why I gave 4 stars.

These are some pretty tough scissors for their size. I feel like they are great scissors to handle everyday tasks or creative ones too. I don't remember exactly what I was using these scissors for, but I tried cutting something thick so a bit of the plastic near the blades cracked, which puts less pressure on the blades to close completely. Other than that they are great scissors. The random color I got was cameo, which is really cute.

This is a review for the Fiskars 7 inch designer student scissors. These scissors are super super sharp. I would always hate it when my old pair of scissors would get sticky and stuck when cutting tape. These scissors don't have that problem because the blades are narrower and very sharp. I do some design/scrap booking and these scissors work like a charm. They're very precise and sharp. The handle part fits around my fingers very nicely. It has a good balanced weight, so cutting becomes an easy chore for hours and hours without feeling sore.Overall, excellent product! Great pair of scissors to keep in the home and office.

Excellent pair of scissors. Really nice and sharp and easy to open n close. Do not feel heavy in the hand, nor too light that you'd think twice before using them.Only problem is I got the Camouflage ones and that was the one pair I was hoping not to get!

Love these scissors. Super sharp and precise. Feels good in your hand it has a good solid feel. Perfect for a kids, because they are short. I should have bought the 8” for me. But I will keep them, as the price was awesome, I got the color shown. Never a problem with a Fiskars Product.

What great scissors. I use these with my tween and teen grandchildren when they visit. Perfect for crafts. I appreciate them myself. Extremely smooth cutting scissors. Colors and designs are great. The kids love them. Too bad you can't choose the colors or designs. I had hoped for one of the pink ones, but hey. Everyone seems happy with those that we got.

First of all, I ordered it for my 10 year old daughter and we received military color, but it's OK. The scissors are hard to operate, the move is very tight. I tried to oil them, loosen the screw a bit, but still it's much tighter than bigger Scotch scissors I ordered for myself. They are sharp and cut good, but I think if my child is going to use them long time, her hands gonna get tired.I will keep them to cut tape and sticky materials, though. It's good to have non stick scissors at hand.But I wouldn't recommend them as a craft scissors for prolonged cutting, especially for a child.

Brilliant my daughter loves them and they work fab for her duck tape projects. Only criticism is it would have been nice to be able to choose design.
