The Golden Tarot

Obviously this package was meant as a "popular" set for dabblers. Tarot by numbers, for a bit of fun. Let's burn a candle, light some incense, and find out what the future holds....Considering the quality of the sturdy, matt-gold box and the rather nice (if simplistic) little book the cards - which should have been the most important component - are disappointingly flimsy. They're a good size, and their smooth surface makes them very easy to "spread shuffle", but I can't imagine what they're going to be like after a year's (or maybe a only few month's)constant use.It's a real shame, because the art work is very attractive - check out the "look inside this book" option. The Major Arcana is basically traditional, with a couple of interesting variations (Death and The Moon) and although the Minor is not pictorial, the Wands are nice warm red-orange, Pentacles an earthy green, Cups watery turquoise, and I can live with pale blue for Air.If these cards "speak" to you (as they did to me) use them until they fall apart, then give them an honourable burial.After all, they're not that expensive. You can always buy another set.....

This is a lovely tarot set, beautiful pictures and a very helpful book. I like that they have included key words for each card. It also has meanings for both the upright and reversed position. One of my favourite sets to use.
