Poor proofreading - the original text of Vasu is not even COPIED correctly
Can an author and publisher not even COPY the original text of Vasu correctly? For example, look at the text of Sutra 1.1.71. in Vasu's original edition. It says "Why do we say the final indicatory letter?" In the current edition it has become "final inductory letter" Huh? If you cannot even copy and paste correctly please do not try to bring out an "edited" version of the wonderful work of Sri Vasu. Further, sutras are wrongly numbered at many places. I am able to find a typo on almost every page. If Panini could create a work 2500 years ago without any mistakes, it is a shame that today's sanskrit "scholars" even with modern editing tools at their disposal cannot create an error-free manuscript! The only plus point about this volume is that it is much cheaper than Motilal's edition, and has clear typesetting which makes it easy on the eye.
