Even after lubrication they still made quite a bit of noise. Thats not to say that its a bad yoyo, it helped me learn how to do binds on an unresponsive yoyo, and it still works rather well. It may just be me, but it doesn't seem very balanced, quite often it'd start spinning and then I'd have to un-ravel the string.
