Summary: I got in a hurry and made an assumption about the 9 1/2 inch description. The total length of the blade and handle is 9 1/2 inches, this is a very small spatula.It is nicely made, my rating is based more on how I feel about this spatula as a whole versus the quality of the product. The quality I would give a 4 or 5 no problem.I'm glad they indicate the size in the description though sometimes when a size is indicated sellers could be defining the blade length or width, or the handle length, or the overall length. I had it in my mind that a bbq grill spatula should have a long handle so I jumped to the conclusion that this was a handle length. It is of course not the handle length, it is total length making this the smallest spatula I own. That being said it isn't conducive to my style of cooking.UPDATE: To be fair I have increased my rating, I have now used the spatula and it is really good. I still wish it was a longer handle as flipping burgers on the grill gets testy during those occasional flare ups but the blade on this is perfect for moving them.

Solid construction and a perfect size to have around the kitchen The blade wasn't wimpy and fits well in your handsIf I misplaced it I would repurchase this again.I would recommend to a friend

A must have for griddle kits

This is smaller than I thought it would be but it is still handy. I originally bought it for my husband when he cooks pizza on our grill/pizza oven. Since it is not the right size I use it in the kitchen and it works fine for me.
