Stanley has spared no expense... A good tool with top quality components.It's cutting jaw is made of forged chromium molybdenum steel. Cr-M is considerably harder than other steels alloys which helps it to retain its sharpness for a very long time.There is an error in Amazon's description about the product. The jaw is not chromium vanadium, it is chromium molybdenum.Its cutting edge so sharp that you can use it as a normal scissors to cut paper, plastic or cloth. I could easily cut a 20 gauge (.8mm) mild steel plate without breaking a sweat.Cr-M steel is not really corrosion resistant. So, keep the jaws oiled to prevent rusting.

Perfect quality tools by stanley...its 5 stars
Stanley 2--14-563 fat max aviation snip straight cutter the build quality is good. the cutting edges are quite Sharpe.. And the handle have a strong grip to hold and to put more torque on cuttings. The length is 10 inches which make job quite easy.. Fatmax aviation snip cutter can be used for home jobs ..I highly recommend for this model for your toolbox... thanks amazon for quality product

I Got the fake metal cutter. I had an old Stanley product with me. So when I compared this with my old one, I understood it's fake one. And when I used the fake one it was less efficient and my hand was paining. I love Stanley product. But this fake one I don't know who is developing. Please investigate and retify it.
