Why is the 2018 edition almost half the cost of the 2017 edition?

Yes they changed the type of foam they use for their products, this pillow weighs 2.7 pounds, I have the ORIGINAL symphony pillow from a few years ago and it weighs over 5 pounds.

Can anyone recommend a pillow to replace worn out (old style) Symphony with same feel—same or different brand?

The pillow is advertised as soft yet is hard as a rock! We stopped using it and returned for a refund. I bought my first newentor last week. I sleep on my back, side, and stomach. This pillow is soft and supportive in any position I sleep in. Very comfortable just go for it!!
