I've used gel versions of Mac, lake, and Maybelline, but they were all overpriced or dried out easily. This one stays moist and is easy to apply even in winter. Always remember to prime your eyes using compact face powder before applying this in case you have oily eyelids like I do, to make sure the product stays intact. It is smudge proof once it is completely dry, and stays relatively water resistant unless you're crying a river!! Very reasonably priced and great for daily use. Doesn't cause eyelashes to fall out and hypoallergenic. One tub lasts for around two years or until the expiry date, when used moderately.
