My daughter's Beau graduated in June 2017 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. We are so proud & happy for him! He began his Dream Career on November 13th. I purchased this item as a Christmas gift, but I gave it to him the wknd before his new job. He needs to carry; record log books, note pads, pencils and pens most everywhere he goes. Not to mention; Policy & Procedures manual. This bag is great! It doesn't have designated sections inside the bag so you can fill it with ANYthing you want and, most ANY size & shape. Most beneficial, I felt! I shopped several bags before buying this one. Most other bags seemed to follow a "recipe"; a predetermined laptop area, as well as other predetermined areas. The inside of this bag was wide- open, *You* decided what you wanted to carry, or not carry. I liked that option! The exterior is very CooL as well. It resembles a Pony Express Satchel and is cool AF! It's all leather too. The comparable Messenger Bags in leather were abt $200-$300 dollars more! Not sure why that was, but I benefited from it. My daughter's Beau absolutely loves it! He says; "it's exactly what I didn't know I Needed!!". I'm glad he likes it, and that it's being used- Daily!! I had been looking at these for months trying to decide exactly on what I wanted. My wife decided to take any decision out of my hands by buying this one for me, and I am glad she did. I have a laptop that I like to use at coffee shops for writing and this bag is perfect for carrying it. I will pack the bag with multiple books and supplies and it easily holds all of them. On the plus side: The bag seems to be very solidly made. I do not see any issues along any seams or poor stitching. The color is reasonably uniform. No strong odor, other than a reasonable leather smell which was not overpowering at all. Large enough to handle laptop and several books, notebooks, etc. Looks really good. Especially after I applied mink oil to condition and waterproof the bag. Negatives: There are a couple of minor defects on the bag. Nothing major, just small discolorations. Very small should rest. Very heavy. To the point that I do not use this when traveling. The traditional buckles are not very convenient compared to modern snaps and magnets.

Good briefcase. Leather. All hardware seems sturdy. Nice style. Expands and collapses to fit my laptop and books or just a few folders. Very strong odor upon arrival. Dissipated after a few weeks.

Where do I start? I needed something that would carry legal size files without being cumbersome. I work for the federal government and travel with files so it needed to be comfortable, safe, durable and big enough without the bulk. This is perfect. I line up my pens/pencils by clicking them across the top of one of the dividers. I can fit at least 5 files in the larger section that are legal size and still have room in the front part for my portfolio. Then there is the zipper pouch outside, long strap or carry handle and the front stays shut when you latch it but is not overly difficult to unlatch. Yes, at first there is a smell but that passed after using it. I love it and I love how it stands upright on it’s on when you latch it shut. Is a great buy and the picture does not begin to do it justice.

This bag was a perfect gift. It’s really big, and very sturdy. The only thing is that the buckle rests right on your shoulder, so you have to be somewhat uncomfortable while wearing it. Other than that though it’s been the perfect bag, and the two journals you can add on are super cute and useful.

SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. DON'T BUY THIS BAG. I don't know how this bag has so many good reviews. I bought this because my tried and true leather Samsonite bag was too small for my new computer. It was 10 years old and still has plenty of life left. I wanted to try an "artisan" made bag this time. Bad mistake. There is conditioning oil inside the leather pockets. Paper and other items get oily and gross. The leather is actually nice, and the bag looks nice. However, it is designed poorly. The handle on top is on the flap itself instead of being connected to the bag. So when you pick it up all of the weight is on the flap and buckles that hold the flap closed. The worst part about the bag is the strap. The shoulder pad does not fit over the buckle so it is practically useless. The buckle itself is cheap and over time the prong slips out causing the bag to fall off your shoulder. Not good if you have a $2k laptop. I have always been able to catch it in the past. Today my bag and laptop hit the ground. The strap cannot be replaced because it is riveted on. You have been warned.

Got this for my husband for his birthday and he needed something more professional looking for work. Everyone at his office has been complementing him on it and asking where they can get one. For the price this looks like much higher priced leather bags. I will say he has scratched it a bit getting it in and out of the car but he travels with his laptop every day. It does have a weird scent when it first arrives but is noted that they treat it with vegetable oil. The scent does eventually leave and it’s not all that bad. All in all great bag and he’s very happy with it.

I was pleased with the purchase at first despite reading a review indicating the stitching started to fail. For under $70 I felt if I got 6 months out of it I would be fine with that. Unfortunately, 3 weeks to the day after receipt the “leather” on the handle tore in half. I am no longer able to use it as a carrier bag. I can use it as an over the shoulder bag. My contents were 1 notebook and a 17in laptop. Still functional, just not 100%. I love the size though.

I bought this bag for my husband at Christmas time. It's to be used for keeping all of his work stuff and computer together. He really liked the style of it, it didn't feel like school bag or something that's maybe not appropriate for a 40 year old man. The quality of the buckles are great, it definitely sticks with the style. There is one zipper on the inside which works well. It can hold his laptop, books, notebooks with still a lot of room left for more. It smells like real leather and the inside color is a nice green to finish the look.

Looks nothings like the picture, in fact I received it just now, with 2 different colours. I am very disappointed, 1 star is more than it deserves.

Looks exactly like the picture. Quality is excellent and my 16 year old daughter loves it for Sixth Form College. Fits all of her school books and laptop and room for extra stuff as well. The shoulder pad is a nice addition over other similar products as it prevents the strap from digging in when the bag is heavily filled with things.
