The book is comprehensive, it has very good illustrations and a succinct summary of the animal mentioned. Before each section is also a good section on the Order of the animal. I love this book!
Great visual guide to not just dinosaurs, but synapsids, pterosaurs, eocine mammals, devonian fish, and other prehistoric creatures. The artwork isn't the greatest, but it's good for what it is. Lots of helpful information for anyone interested in prehistoric animals, although bear in mind that the world of paleontology is rapidly changing and already some of the information in here is outdated.

Grandson loves it!
I purchased this book because we may have a budding paleontologist in the family. This particular work covers everything, not just dinosaurs. Dinos are neat but they're only part of the story of the past.

Really nice illustrations
My kids found this in a gift shop so as usual I checked Amazons pricing before waaaaay over paying there. Happy to get a great deal on this! My kids (12 & 16 year olds) are dinosaur aficionados but they still found this book to be beautifully illustrated and informative.

For any Dino lover.
Ordered for my son who loves dinosaurs. This is hands down his favorite book. It covers more than just dinosaurs but many events in Geological time.

My 7-year old nephew totally LOVES this book!!
A great book that includes all prehistoric creatures, not just dinosaurs. My 7-year old nephew received this as a 2012 Christmas present and takes this book everywhere with him.
