One of the best thermal imaging devices I have ever owned
One of the best thermal imaging devices I have ever owned. The resolution and clarity is pretty good, and it is perfect for spotting hot objects from far in total darkness. Yes they were expensive, but have enjoyed using them without any problems so far.

Worth It
We have really enjoyed the Flir Scout. The different settings are great for seeing different animals at night.

Great product!
The FLIR Scout II 240 is a great piece of technology. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this device, but after having it a few days I can say it's fantastic. It provides a reasonably clear, high contrast picture that makes it very easy to identify many things in complete darkness. It's an IR/thermal image and so while you can identify a man from several hundred yards away it doesn't provide enough detail to identify the specific person. I have no complaints about the build quality as I would expect of something in this price point. My only real complaint is the lack of any built in ability to capture images. An SD card would have been nice. The 320 model has a VGA out which even seems kind of archaic. But other than that, this is a really nice device.

First time with this thermal, I spear a deer from my treestand at 5am. Good quality for the money.
