I was looking for a chess set that would be easy for my 7-year-old to use and also durable, and this one has exceeded all expectations. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the wooden pieces feel great in his hands. The best part is the foldable, compact design. It doesn't take up much space and is a breeze to put away, which is a huge plus. The magnetic pieces are strong enough to hold securely but still easy for him to move. It's been a wonderful way to introduce him to the game, and he's been playing with it non-stop. If you're looking for a high-quality, kid-friendly chess set, this is the one to get

Its good. The magnets are strong enough that the pieces don't fall off but also weak enough that you don't feel them while playing. The board and the hinge is fantastic with a barely visible gap. But I feel as if the price is a bit high. Also in my board the dark and white squares are offset. It doesn't matter when you play. But a bit annoying when simultaneously tracking moves while playing online, though you could just play with it turned around and have no issues that way. Other than that the board is fantastic, the quality is very fine.

I play chess frequently and have three boards. This is my fourth purchase and the first time I bought this product. I am impressed by the quality of the Board, the quality of the pieces, the size of the pieces and the fact that we are given extra pieces. The size and thickness of the board is very good too. It is absolutely value for money. Serves well as a playing board. I wish they had provided a better bag to carry the product. I would have preferred a bag with better pouches and ability to roll the board rather than insert it into a sleeve, the pieces were also falling out. That being said, I would still purchase this even if the bag was not included. I highly recommend this product.

Had to order a replacement becuase couple of pieces didn't have magnets. But the replacemet was smooth and we have great looking chess. The price seems on a higher side but better than other avaiable models in terms of quality.

The product isn't very good and definitely not worth the price. The magnets are weak and the pieces aren't well crafted.

Overall the Chess Board Looks Premium andd Royal. the Peices are well polished and Looks clean though.I ordered 16×16 inch chess board Andd I think it's Value for money but there were some Issues I found . 1. one Of the Lock was missing and second lock was Dislocated and Broken. one of the Pawn's edge was broken 2. Board was A little unsymmetrical . it is not been shown in the picture I provided but it was . 3. According to 3000 price bracket there should be good quality hinges And Locks. 4. Some Magnetic peices have a strong Magnets and some of them wall after folding it . I order it and It come with these defects so I placed a Replacement order Instead of refund order because ai over this chess it literally feels Premium board. NOTE- the colour shown on Amazon Is a little bit dull but not that much It's Good not that much shining but not too much dull It gives you a perfect wooden chess board feel . And if I go for it so .. Very portable on the go chess board. Quality made and feels rigid. The peices are nicely built. This chess board will surely build a conversation. And it's super cute!

I was a little nervous about ordering this set, as Amazon said it was a frequently returned item. I don't know what the reason for that could be, but the set I received is flawless. It is solid wood throughout, and the playing surface is made up of individual squares of wood veneer (some boards I have seen just have a single piece of wood with dyed or painted squares). Mine is the 7x7 model, and is kept closed by magnets rather than a metal latch. I think this is better, since it gives a cleaner look, and the magnets are plenty strong enough to keep it closed. The overall quality of workmanship is excellent, with smooth transitions between the two halves of the board in both open and closed positions. The chessmen themselves are very nicely made considering their small size. They are satisfyingly proportioned and easy to tell apart from each other. The magnets felt a little weak at first, but they proved to be strong enough to hold even the heavier pieces in place, even when the board was held sideways or inverted. Stronger magnets may actually be a bad thing, because it might cause the pieces to be attracted to one another and cause problems. All in all, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this set. It's an absolute bargain for the price, and I'm thinking of buying some of the other sizes. It would make an excellent gift.
