There is also the issue of making sure the shelves are supported by studs; if one attempts to make four shelves it will become abundantly clear that the studs are too far apart to support the weight of anything over 10 to 20lbs. **Q: Can these be used outdoors in the weather without rusting?** A: I don't believe so, the racks and supports are all powder coated steel and will rust eventually. **Q: I am moving and have loved the stands. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remove the screw holders. I threw these up on a concrete wall in my garage to bring some additional storage into the garage and they look great and function even better. Build quality is super solid, zero questions on if these will hold what I put on them.
