El Yucateco Paste Achiote, 3.5 oz

I used this to marinate pork and it tasted pretty good. I would recommend sealing the rest in a plastic bag after opening though.

I had bought this to make an adobada/al pastor. Turned out great! Reasonably priced and turned out as I had hoped it would. If you are planning to make try making adobada/al pastor, I would definitely recommend this for the recipe.

We tried this El Yucateco achiote paste in a chicken pibil recipe we found on the internet - added orange juice, lime juice, garlic, cumin, oregano and put them in a blender with the paste, marinated the chicken in the resulting sauce, and cooked for an hour and 30 minutes. Delicious ! Like other reviews have mentioned, it's hard to compare the flavor of achiote to anything else. It's not spicy or sweet or sour ... it adds a deep, satisfying flavor all its own.We'll definitely buy again.

Good product, bot better sliction aat local mexican stores

I needed this paste for al pastor tacos but I couldn’t find it at Walmart. I bought this off amazon and it had a good taste. It was very hard to dissolve though. It was almost like clay. It was pretty expensive compared to a local Hispanic grocery store that I found though.
