They where easy to paint after some primer was put on. The only thing is they are rock hard and I would have liked if they had some flexibility.

These arrived today. I'm using them for a costume.the shells are large and rough around the edges which make them uncomfortable to wear for any period of time. They are connected by a string which is not very attractive or comfortable. For a cheap thing to wear for a short period of time they are reasonable.
