DISCREET LOOK- SECRET WEAPON
This is the coolest undercover weapon I've ever owned. I do recommend getting the extra pack with the inert formula that way you have two doses of heat, the one that comes in the barrel and a replacement. DEFINITELY TEST RIGHT AWAY. I hope I never have to use this but I wanted to say something in response to the complaints that the Palm Defender isn't high power enough: If you are using mace that means you lost your chance to run away and avoid close range conflict. MACE IS A CLOSE RANGE DEFENSE WEAPON! Ignore the reviews about it not projecting far enough (the reviews that cite issues with the depressor probably just got the one bad one in the batch, doesn't happen that often and if you test before you rely on it, you would know if it needed replacing.) I absolutely love the natural grip, the rotating keyring turns it into a secondary weapon which if you have taken any self defense classes, you know the follow up action is just as important as the first strike. AND the safety isn't bulky and it WORKS! I feel safer, more badass, and totally nondescript with this on my keychain.

About as good as it gets.
Very well made and high quality aluminum instead of plastic. Looks like a mini-flashlight so it is also very discrete. I have not used or tested it so I cannot comment on its effectiveness or range, but judging by videos on YouTube it should perform well. I like that it delivers a high velocity mist instead of a concentrated stream which should increase odds of hitting what you want. Amount of sprays is somewhat limited but thatโs the trade off for a small package. Iโve had it on my keychain for about a year and itโs gotten beat up and thrown around but looks like it will last forever. It is designed with threaded end caps with o-rings that hold in the replaceable pepper cartridge so this isnโt a โone time useโ device. Just replace the cartridge and youโre good to go. Overall I give it 5 stars based on quality, reusability, and discreetness. ASP makes professional level equipment for law enforcement and this little guy is no different.

Great combo defense option.
I recently was put at increased risk and decided to begin carrying pepper spray at my family's urging. I chose this option because it is more discrete than a traditional pepper spray, and I liked that it doubles as a kubaton (which I have prior experience working with) giving you multiple defense options. Because it is not obviously pepper spray, I feel comfortable keeping it on me at work and I have a force multiplier should I ever need to defend myself. It is comfortable in my hand and fits well in the pocket of my uniform. While I don't feel "safer" per se it is comforting to know I have options if escaping or pepper spray misses or fails (there is a population of people unaffected by pepper spray and as well as who become enraged and fight harder rather than being distracted). I like that there is an option to purchase practice cartridges. Know your tools and practice with them. Running should always be your first choice if possible. Great option.

Easy to Carry but Too Small and Questionable Effectiveness
On the upside, this is a trusted name and a quality tool. Really the only option to comfortably carry without a purse or handbag. Other pepper spray canisters, with a longer range, are much too bulky. -So settling for a 3ft. range on something I will actually carry, is better than pepper spray with a 10ft. range, that Iโll never carry. The downside is although it comes with two beefy key-rings, it lacks e pocket clip that would make it 100% more useful. Also consider the small size that doesnโt extend beyond the hand to be used as a kubaton. And the meager 3ft. spray range, that spays in a cone, not stream. The spray is going to loose density and strength as it spreads, so I question the effectiveness at its maximum 3ft. range. If youโre in a situation where you need to deploy it at 3ft., youโre going to be grappling immediately thereafter. So being able to continue using it as a weapon after initial deployment would be helpful. For that reason, the larger size is a better option. So I did buy the larger one with the pocket clip and find it to be a much better fit. (See last photo to compare). They both fit into the category of โsomething is better then nothingโ

Very powerful tool
I keep it in my pocket at all times. Unlike a handgun, this is lightweight and comfortable to carry, which for me is a big deal. Also you can carry it into many places where guns are not allowed. Unlike a gun, with this if you miscalculate and use excessive force you will probably not be facing a long prison sentence. Seems to be more durable and better designed than the standard pepper spray. I chose the silver color because I thought the paint would scratch over time so I wanted the color to blend with the metal. It does sometimes tend to slip easily out of the pocket. People sometimes are not sure what it is so that provides some privacy. As a force equalizer I think it probably is a very powerful tool. Even a big muscular person it seems can be stopped to some degree with this, as well as I assume various animals. Against a firearm this might give some decent chance of defence. If sprayed in a closed room, even if not directly on an individual, it will soon make the room uncomfortable to stay in. Overall, this is one of the best and most convenient self defense tools I know.

Discreet and easy to operate
I exercise in a public park and I have been threatened by two off-leash dogs within a month. Since, I bought this, I have not had to use it for protection, but I feel much more secure by having it in my pocket. It's easy to use with one hand and it does have a finger activated safety switch to prevent accidental discharge. It's a solid piece of aluminum, so it could have additional use as an impact tool similar to a Kubotan for people who have some training in self-defense techniques.

Haven't used it, but...
Very small/lightweight and not readily identifiable. This is great for me because I have lost more than one pepper spray to security at hospitals when ice forgotten to take it off my keychain and headed in for appointments. Thankfully, this one seems to be unrecognizable and hasn't been taken yet ๐

Lost on first run
My wife took it on a run for the first time, ended up with just the cap and no defense whatsoever available left. It seemed great, just sucks that itโs gone on the first run for her.
