Review: Good for Growing Grass From Seed - I'm using this to help with some erosion and patchy grass on the side of my house. The straw is not as dense as pictured, but it has worked well for me. I put down some dirt to correct the grade on the side of my house, planted some Bermuda grass seed, and then laid this product on top. You do have to be careful when unrolling it and I did purchase a box of garden staples to keep it more firmly in place. About a week later, after diligent watering, my grass is sprouting! I don't think you're supposed to remove this product, as some other reviewers have attempted, but allow the grass to grow over it. I'm happy with it so far and recommend it for anyone trying to grow grass on a slight hill.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this a 4 foot by 50 foot roll or 8 inches x 48 inches? The description states both.**
A: Mine was 4' x 50'.  Didn't have seed in it like I had hoped.

**Q: Does this blanket have the actual seed in the blanket?**
A: No.  It is straw between 2 layers of thin nylon mesh. Seed first, then put this over the top. It's pretty delicate, but worked well.

**Q: Can you over seed your grass in patchy areas and place on yop**
A: Hi! You can do that - is there slope to the area? If there is slope then the blanket will be the best bet. If the area is flat - then actually the EZ-Straw with Tack would probably be better. Also depends on how many square feet you have so make sure to check for that. It is really important with either product to have good site preparation (take sticks out, no rocks, etc.) and make sure to water it! Hope that is helpful.

**Q: Can this be used for a veg. garden to keep weeds away**
A: Probably not - it was great for holding down grass seed and stabilizing the hill side where we staked it down. The blanket was intended to have grass through it - so I expect that weeds, just like grass, would growing through it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It really works!

This really works! We threw down some grass seed in a hard to grow area subject to wash outs and put the mat down. It wasn't hard to unroll, you just have to be careful. It works best if you have 2 people working in the unroll process and take it slowly. We even cut it in 3 places to cover 3 areas. It does come with wooden stakes, but I recommend buying extras especially if you plan on cutting this mat, for the other areas. The grass is growing and the straw inhibits the birds and rabbits from eating the seed. We've had no problems with this mat at all.
