They work great
These plastic hooks work great. I threw out some old ones that would break easy, but didn’t break one with these. Worth the money, thank you!

Great product
Ordered these hoping to save myself from the dreaded ladder this year when putting up my lights and these clips were perfect! Using the handle from my push broom, I screwed one of these clips to the end, slid in a section of lights, clipped onto the side of my gutters, unscrewed the handle and the lights were all hung in twenty minutes! I was even able to use a "U" loop on the side of a clip to hang lights onto tree branches far out of my normal reach. I can't say yet if they will still be effective next year but they don't seem too flimsy and they have held tight for 2 weeks without one falling off. Also they can be used on shingles as well although I only used them around my gutters. If you have a long enough handle with a threaded end sitting around like a push broom of paint roller handle, these fit on perfectly and make it so so easy to hang your lights while keeping both feet firmly on the ground.

They are easy to install and remove!
They work well. Durability is less than ideal. They will usually only last for 1 maybe 2 seasons before they become brittle. Yes, I will purchase these again.

It help me accomplish what Ive been wanting to do
edit: first time took me 2 hours. I did it again within 30 minutes I bought the clips instead of the pole. The clips work well. I understand people's frustration in the reviews. I have solutions that address most of them. My objective was to put lights on the gutter on my 2 story house. Theres area in my house where I cannot put ladder. I dont want to pay $450 for professional contractors because they want to climb on my roof. I dont want to risk damaging my roof either. Took me a week of researching on my downtime to finally come to this solution. the pictures and instructions on this product are limited. I have to watch youtube videos of several different products to piece together how this clip work: 1. You are suppose to screw them on any pole (like a broomstick) 2. Hook the clip to the light strip 3. Put the clip on the gutter 4. Unscrew I ran into problems that others have ran into and i solved them all Problem 1: I need a pole long enough to reach my gutter Solution: I bought a heavy duty extension pole Problem 2: The pole is wobbly when I extend it all the way Solution: Shorten it, use a 8 foot ladder to make up for the lost range Problem 3: Unscrewing the pole from clip will cause the clip to detach from gutter and fall down Solution: Unscrew at an angle ( i provided a diagram to explain more) Tip: I used WD40 on the end of the pole. I also screw the clip onto the pole then unscrew to make sure there would be less resistance unscrewing it while its on my gutter Problem 4: Its hard to hook light string on clip Solution: Have a 2nd person guide the light string onto the clip Took me about 2 hours (and hours and weeks of research leading to the actual implementation)

Great way to put lights up on the gutter!
I first got these at Home Depot years ago, over the years some have broken so I needed more and to my surprise they don't carry them anymore. These are easy to put up with a paint pole, I normally thread one one, then clip light string that is dangling about 6' from the last clip. You just proceed down the string until they are all up. Sometimes the last few clips are problematic if they are way up there like on a 2-3 story house. Taking lights goes really fast; I put a trim roller on the end of the paint pole and then just push each clip off the gutter. This beats getting up on a ladder in the winter months by far!

The clips work well it's just a matter of finding a pole that fits the clips. I tried a few poles that I had then I came across a pole that I had used for painting the decking and that worked great . Took no time to put the lights up, no climbing and less stress !!!! The packaging was badly damaged on arrival so I wasn't happy to see three of the clips broken.

Did not fit my eves with the leaf guards. check how the leaf guards are installed. It looks easy to use with a pole and clip but very hard to control the pole while standing on the ground, the pole extended all the way and trying to push this clip under the roof shingles and screw off the clip. If you can do it without being on a ladder NOTTA! Doesn't work. The pole wants to bend extended all the way and the clips have to be paired up with the right eves and leaf guards.

These are the best light clips! I don't understand why they stopped making them as the new clips are useless. These can be put up using a pole and make hanging lights SO much easier! I wish the manufacturer would keep making them! I don't know what I'm going to do when I eventually run out. The only downside is that they are cheap plastic so there is always the risk of a clip breaking due to the change in temperature in Canada.
