Works great. Need to pay attention to where the holes in the pipe are since you will need to offset the assembly slightly to the one side to get the holes to be centered on the fire grate. You also have to follow the instructions and place the assembly to the front of the fire grate and angled back towards the logs. If you put it directly under the logs it will get too hot in the coals and warp and the holes will plug up with ash. You also need to adjust the air hole so that the flames are blue with yellow tips. It's easy and obvious when you have it right. I love being able to throw logs in the fireplace and a few minutes later have a roaring fire without the need for newspaper and kindling.

Does exactly what it was advertised to do...decent price...easy to install. It may not be any "better" than any other brand; I don't know. But, it does everything we need it to do, so it gets good marks!!

Excellent product works perfect has made lighting fires an easy task for my wife and helps fireplace to not smoke

I have used this product for a season and it still works but has become very distorted due to the heat after only one season of use. It may make it another season but will need to replace soon. It also needs to come with some kind of support on the opposite end of the hook up to keep it from just laying flat on the bottom to help keep it from stopping up due to ash buildup.
