This will be perfect for the nine year olds birthday! I got the silver one. The sash comes with velcro circles to clip it together, but I imagine one could use a safety pin if that doesnt work. This is such a good deal, perfect for the unicorn loving children out there

Nice item the sash was lovely but the unicorn headband the string was coming off at the top, other than that the product was good.
