I’ve been using this DIYMAG 2 in (50 mm) magnet for several weeks, and overall it’s a solid heavy-duty retrieval tool. What I liked: +Power: This magnet is genuinely strong for its size — it easily picks up nails, bolts, screws, and other ferrous metal pieces from the ground or workbench. +Build Quality: Feels well-constructed and solid, with a robust metal coating that hasn’t chipped after repeated use. +Eyebolt and Handle: The integrated eyebolt makes it easy to attach a rope or tether, which is handy for magnet fishing or accessing hard-to-reach places. +Versatility: Works well indoors (garage/yard cleanup) and outdoors (pond bank magnet fishing). What could be improved: -Weight & Handling: Because it’s quite powerful, it’s also a bit heavy — beginners may need a moment to adjust when pulling in larger or awkward scraps. +Real-World Pull Force: While advertised as 350 lbs, actual pull strength depends heavily on surface material and contact area. In many real scenarios, the effective holding weight is significantly lower — but still very strong for its class. Overall: This magnet is a solid choice if you want a heavy-duty retrieval tool for workshop cleanup, magnet fishing, or picking up nails and hardware. It’s strong, well-built, and worth its price if you need high-power magnetic pickup.

Magnet works as advertised. Magnet is strong but it's also important to note that this magnet does not weigh 350 lbs. It probably weighs closer to 6 ounces.

This item is strong, durable, and lightweight. The Magnetism is VERY strong Don't be confused by its size (however) —it's smaller than or just at the size of your palm. Although it is very strong, if you want a larger size, be sure to check the specs for a bigger diameter. Of course you should know that the larger you get the price will go up but the more Greater the Magnetization will be And be careful cause it literally will pull stuff through your clothes or hook on to stuff from your pockets or purse that your wife may take from you 😁👍🏽

This magnet is extremely strong, honestly much stronger than I expected. Be careful when using it, especially around fragile items, because the magnetic force can easily damage weaker objects when attaching. Once it attaches to metal, it’s also very difficult to remove. Definitely make sure you know where you want it placed before letting it snap onto anything metal.

I picked up these magnets expecting something close to the listed 350 lb pull force, but they aren’t anywhere near that strength. In my testing, they couldn’t reliably hold even 5 lb on a clean, flat steel surface. For light tasks they’re fine, but the advertised rating is extremely unrealistic. The build quality itself seems okay, and for small projects or organizing lightweight metal items they work as intended. They’re compact, easy to handle, and consistent from piece to piece. Just don’t expect them to perform anywhere close to the stated pull force. Overall, they’re usable for light-duty applications, but the strength claims are so far off that I can only give them three stars.

I am sure the magnet is good but the 150lb is not strong enough to remove the security tag that was left on an article of clothing I have recorded a stronger one hoping that it will do the job

This is a really good rare earth magnet. It can pretty much pick up a bicycle with no problem. Great for picking up stuff from the bottom of a lake or canal.
