Description
- VVT SOLENOIDS -- The VVT variable valve timing solenoid (also named VCT solenoid) is responsible for changing the position of the camshafts in the engine on your Ford 5.4 or 4.6 3-valve V8 Triton engine. It works on oil pressure, and can either advance or retard cam position to provide the right performance from the engine. When the factory VVT solenoids fail, vehicle will gets poor fuel economy, engine performance is diminished and check engine light is on (CEL).
