Rubie's Costume The Hobbit Galadriel Dress With Headpiece

This dress exceeds my expectations 1000%. After reading the other reviews, I honestly wasn't expecting too much but this dress is beautiful beyond words!! I actually felt like Galadriel wearing it. If you're on the fence about buying this dress. Just. Do. It. You won't be disappointed! I am 5'5" and approx. 118 lbs, and it is just the right length. Not too tight at all, it is loose at first but after you tie the waist thing in the back it fits perfectly. So flowy, gorgeous, and I absolutely love the sleeves. The only con about this dress is that it is very sheer so you will need to wear a full length slip. Other than that this costume is literally PERFECT in every way.

I love this dress! the fit was better than I expected! It fits me better than the large Tauriel dress I purchased, that made me look like a pregnant she elf. This dress is more forgiving on ones imperfect figure! I didn't need a slip under it even though it's white, and appears sheer, it covers well! The dress came in perfect white color as expected, and came with the crown. The crown is not that great, but having read all the reveiws first, I took the liberty of purchasing a Elrond crown in gold for 4.99 on line, and plan on spray painting it silver; problem solved! This is a great dress for the price, it is made well, and I can't wait to wear it to a party!

I am a 36c bra size, 5'9 and wear about a 16 in pants.. My boob's and hips were too much for this costume it did not fit at all. I modified it by taking some scissors slicing a bit under the arms and a straight cut down the back from the bra line to right under the hips. Luckily I bought a cape to wear so it covers my entire back but I also have a cami dress under it just incase someone sees the modifications I made. I took a photo of the bag because that's what people need to see. It is a one size fits all up until you are size 12. Overall I love the costume now I only planned to wear it once anyway and I know I wouldn't sell it so I decided to make it fit because the other costumes for her I have seen online that are reasonably priced are very cheap looking or do not look like the picture at all so for the price to bring some extra surprise joy to my hubby who is Gandalf this year I think this is well worth it. Weight it is very light and airy, color is perfect there was a slight brown spot but no one will see it because it is on the arms and they will be flowing around too much for anyone to see especially at night. Fabric quality is actually pretty nice compared to a lot of other costumes I have had over the years, it does not feel like wearing a parachute or spandex anyway I hope you feel more informed about your purchase decision have a great day!

I usually skip the mass produced costumes and make my daughter's costumes myself, but I gave this one a try because it looked pretty good and I would have spent about the same on fabric and supplies anyway. I'm happy with my decision. The overall look is pretty close to the dress in the movie. This costume is shorter and not as full, but it would be impractical to send a middle schooler out trick or treating in anything longer and fuller. For reference, my daughter is about 5'3" and a US women's size 4. This dress is maybe an inch or so above floor length without shoes on. The fabric is stretchy and there are ties to adjust the waist so you can get a decent fit on a variety of people. The neckline was way too wide for my daughter (it was falling off her shoulders) but a couple safety pins at the shoulder seams were enough to fix that. I was concerned about the "crystals" falling off but she wore it to one party already and they all stayed on. Overall this is better quality and a more accurate representation than most licensed costumes and I am happy with my purchase. The thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the headpiece. It is a joke. It's die cut glitter vinyl and a piece of elastic and I wouldn't even expect it to last one night. Nowhere near the same quality or accuracy as the dress. I read reviews before I ordered and I expected this, but if they're going to advertise it as including a headpiece, it should be a usable headpiece, and this is not.

Let me start by saying I don’t think I’ve ever liked something enough to leave a review. This arrived today and I absolutely love it. I am 5’2”, 138 pounds, and a 36dd. I am also 30 pounds over weight and hold my weight in the midsection. This dress is stunning. It is so forgiving and incredibly flattering for my shape. It actually gives me a waist that I don’t really have! I said it ran large because I filled this out quite nickels but it may fit a smaller breasted, thin girl much looser. It does tie in the back so you can adjust the fit. The crown is horrible. This just touches the floor at my height and will be perfect with high heals. I would recommend flats for anyone over 5’4” and a few inches over that will be very short and I think any shoe will look weird. I just can’t believe how beautiful this is for a $35 costume.

The headpiece came really gross, it looked like it had gotten moldy and then dried. I had to throw it away as I didn't have time to exchange it. The dress itself was ok. I would say the fit was a little large.

I purchased this so where as a bride of Frankenstein dress and I absolutely love it ! It's really pretty and the sleeves are really pretty without being hot because they're open . The one by thing about this costume is the headrest is completely ridiculous if you were going to wear it as what it supposed to be . Address is actually sewn twisted so it can't possibly lay flat if you were going to wear it . It's literally a piece of sparkly vinyl cut up into pieces and stuck on an elastic . See picture. I did however give the dress five stars because it's that well-made and flattering

I needed a last minute dress for comic con and this one was perfect for my Galadriel cosplay! The material was thicker than I thought and super comfortable. The only thing is the head band isn’t the greatest so I wore a custom made one. I’m 5’5 and the dress hit my feet. I wore boots just because of the weather but it’s a good length. Also one size fits all but you can tie the back to make it more form fitting. Overall happy with it!
