Pleasantly surprised
Just got home from a 5 day fishing trip. We were extremely happy and satisfied with the espresso and the ease of use of our pixapresso. We were able to make many espressos with preheated water. It does use up a lot of battery power when using it to heat the water. But in a crunch, it can heat up water pretty quickly and efficiently. And make several drinks before needing recharged. The picture shows my whole setup. With the nespresso pod knockoffs, we were able to fill with our own coffee grounds and also very happy and satisfied with the results using those. We also used the ground coffee option, which was also just as enjoyable. The stand I am using for our Pixapresso was purchased separately and the sticker received with the pixapresso was used to put on the stand to customize it. All the accessories were purchased through Amazon as well. Being able to customize the filter to accommodate 16 g of coffee was primarily the reason behind purchasing this particular portable espresso maker. This is the only portable espresso maker I have used so unable to compare it to how others might perform. The charging cord provided is extremely short, but it is a USB -C, and we always have many of those types of cords laying around. There are 2 other color options available, but not on Amazon it seems. I would have preferred the Olive green, but it's not a huge issue. This is also very easy to maintain and keep clean.

Great espresso
Recommend starting too coarse and going finer to dial in. Once dialed it produces really great espresso with a lot of crema and great texture, taste and smell. I ussually used boil water but still use the machines heating function and the machine produces abpout 10 espressos before a charge. I use the basket unpressurized as well, but crry the ball and spring for convenience

Ease of use.
It is very simple, and if you use the NP pods clean up is a very easy thing. Heats water very well and makes a tasty brew. I travel allot and stay in places the coffee is not great so now I can make my own! Love it!

Works great, but not at altitude
Been using this at sea level with freshly-ground beans and it has been great. I brought it with me to use while on vacation at altitude (9800 ft) with Nespresso pods and it would not brew. It could not build up enough pressure to dispense more than ~ 5 ml and then would quit. Also since water boils at lower temperature at altitude, it has trouble achieving the target temp even at the lowest setting. After arriving at home, I tested it again with a Nespresso pod and it worked perfectly. Just keep in mind if you're planning on using it at altitude, that it may not work as expected.

Worked fine for two months
The machine worked well for about two months, then it died. Would’t take a charge wouldn’t do anything. Am I stuck with it, or can I get some help.

Best Portable Purchase Ever Made
Amazing product I make espresso anywhere..lol At my desk at work etc. I use blonde espresso from Starbucks and this portable 20 bar espresso machine makes the most delish espresso. easy to use but it does take like 3 mins to heat up and dispense coffee so it is not going to make quick espresso shots like a regular machine at home would But it gets the job done and produces nice crema as well.

Defective unit
I really wanted to like the Pixapresso. It looks and feels very solid. Though, no matter what I do, this unit just won’t pull a shot. I’ve tried different grind sizes (fine to coarse), tamped hard, tamped lightly, and even skipped the tamp entirely and I still get nothing or just few weak drips. That’s especially annoying because I’m not new to portable espresso gear. I had the Wacaco Picopresso and loved it, so this feels especially disappointing.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you!!!
I'm shocked. The first shot I pulled I expected to be bad or mediocre as I dialed in the correct dose and grind. It was really pretty decent. The next four shots were very good! I'm not sure how a machine as small and basic as this can do that! I'm sufficiently pleased with the results that I bought a second one. Yes, I know, I don't NEED a second one. I just like the idea of having a backup Pixapresso, just because. And... since none of you people reading this review actually know me I don't need to be embarrassed about it :-). Espresso is a rabbit hole, a deep rabbit hole. Don't ask how many other espresso machines I have...

Waste money - WACACO
Very poor product. Very hard to use. Video do not match how it works. Very hard to program temps. Battery life is very poor. And very hard to set level of dispensing too. Product video show you can press the screen does not work. Almost impossible to use the button too

Love the convince of good coffee on the road.
Performs as expected. It's very useful to have this in the backpack when I'm on the road. The fact I can make expresso on the road is very reassuring. Neat well thought out package. Simple to use. Materials feel very premium. I like that all you need fits inside the water chamber. I opted for the travel case. It holds 6 Nespresso pods and an extra head and barista towel. Note: Definitely try and source hot water. It helps with the battery.

Doesn't work properly with capsules.
Worked fine for about 1 week. Then it stopped being able to pierce the coffee capsules. Instead water flows around the capsule and leaks out past the supposed seal. Have tried all different capsule brands with same result. Last 10 capsules I tried, it successfully made a coffee with only 1.
