Great Quality
I ordered the 40,000 btu heater on a Tuesday at 6:00 pm. It was in my driveway the next day at 1:00 pm! (It shipped from a location 90 miles away, but still impressive!) It was packaged nicely in two heavy cardboard boxes with foam pads on bottom and top. I saw zero shipping damage. The shipper did leave it lying on the end - even though the box is cleary marked with a "THIS SIDE UP". This could be important since it has an oil-filled compressor. Just be sure to let it sit correctly oriented for at least an hour before powering it on. There are two handles built into the cabinet for easy moving, but it's pretty heavy. Not a big factor in my choice, but i did like the grey color better than white or black. The fit and finish on the cabinet is very good. It is a very nice-looking unit. It came with two 1.5" pvc adapters, so it was easy to plumb to my existing plumbing. I was also pleased to find that the power cable was already installed and ready to connect. It even had terminals attached but I cut it off to the length I needed. This made wiring to my existing breaker a 5-minute job. There is a control panel (thermostat) mounted to the side with a protective hinged cover. The control panel is backlit but the controls are a little cheap feeling and the icons are tiny. I would give it a 1/2-star knock for this, but overall I'm good with 5-stars. The control panel can be used to change the set point, set the clock, and change modes. You can also program a schedule, but i have yet to do that from the control panel. There also seems to be a troubleshooting menu, but I haven't looked into that. My favorite way to interface with this heater is with the wifi app. It's one of the easiest wifi appliance apps I've set up. You can control most features with the app from anywhere. It also has a query screen where you can see water temps, if the compressor is running, if there is water flow through the unit, etc. This could be a valuable troubleshooting tool. You can set up a schedule from the app, but it's not as full-featured in this department as I'd like. I tried the heater on the first night. The outside temps fell down to about 62F, and the water was 91F the next morning. We kept the solar blanket on overnight as well. By the 10:00 am the water was 93F. The outside temp got up to about 86F at peak. I then tried the cooling and it switched back quickly and started cooling it down. Our pool is in-ground 12,000 gallon, so it will take hours for a heater like this to make significant changes, but it seems to be doing what a 40,000 btu heat pump should do. This heat pump is VERY QUIET! The little noise it makes is a pleasant hum... .mostly just the fan blowing is what you hear. When in heat mode, very cool air is being exhausted from the unit, which could be good or bad depending on its location (vise versa when in cool mode). This isn't a ding, just a heads-up. I solidly recommend this brand. If I have any issues. I will update.

Works well!
Great unit! One needs to realize that this is a heat pump that heats and cools, not a pure heater so it takes a little longer to change the temperature but it works very well. Price could not be beat. Customer support is outstanding and very responsive. Putting in another pool at the brother in law’s and will be ordering another one.

It works
Very easy setup and I understand that it could take a day or 2 to get your pool to a tolerable temperature per there manual. I have an 800 gph pump and an 1800ish gallon pool and this is supposed to be rated for 5000 gallons or less so I figured it would heat up fast. Pool started at about 57 degrees F about 4 in the afternoon with an outside temp in the low 60's. By morning the pool was about 60 with an overnight of about 45F. By the next afternoon pool was about 67 and outside temps were about the same. By yesterday afternoon, the pool hit 70. All in all, it works, but I don't think it will ever hit 104F as noted as the Max temp in the manual. But if the wife will happy as summer approaches, so will I. I don't think she will be able to get warm water in the winter though. We will see come winter? As far as hooking it up to the pool, I had to get a little creative. The hoses for the pool are sized for the pool only, so I hade to buy tubing and add a coupling to the pool hose to go to the hose I bought for the heater, also an adapter to go from the store bought hose to the pool pump. Unfortunately there wasn't an of the shelf coupler for that, so I designed and 3d printed what I needed and got it all going. Moral of the story is, if you don't need high and fast heat, it's great. If you do, go with the biggest heater you can afford.

Doesn’t heat very much…
This product is advertised to heat inground pools up to 12000 gallons. It cost me $500 to get it installed plumbing and electrical. We have a 8500 gallon inground pool the temperature was 75° when we turned it on… we have had both the pump and heater running now for 24 hrs and it only increased the temperature 4° we set it for 87° and it’s currently 79°… we are tracking the hydro and we will update how much it costs after 36 hrs of constant running as well as let you know what temperature it gets to for the 36 hrs of operation…. So far we are not impressed….🤨

A must have to extend pool use!
We LOVE our pool heater! Began swimming in our pool in April (so exciting) current outdoor temp is 58 and we just got out of the pool! This heater will allow us to swim at minimum 6 months out of the year and possibly more! It’s quiet, easy to use & install. Great value!

Stopped working after a month an a half. *Edited Review*
** Second Edit** I changed my review from one star to five. The company did reach out and offered to pay for the price of plug that I bought to fix this and even offered to pay for shipping if I wanted to return it. After using this all this summer, I would say BUY IT! I can not believe how fast this raised the temperature of our above ground pool. Our pool is under a patio cover and doesn't get any sun. Even when it is 90 outside, the pool would only get to 75 degrees without this thing. The app makes it so easy to control the heat pump. **EDIT** I bought a new GFCI plug end from Amazon and the pool heater works again. I will continue updating if I have any more problems. I still feel for the price I paid it should come with a plug that lasts and works safely and correctly for more than a month and a half. Worked great until it didn't. It does heat up the water and very quiet but only lasted about a month and a half. It is dead, won't turn on at all and singed my electrical outlet. I am going to try to replace the plug and see if I can get it working again but for this price I feel it should have came with a better plug. The reset and test buttons on the plug are soft and get stuck when trying to reset.
