King ColorCore Plastic Sheet 3/4" x 12" x 24" Brown-White-Brown Color Core, HDPE Board, High Density Polyethylene Panel

While utilizing the black/red HDPE panel, I was able to fabricate top notch replacement covers for various positions around my bass boat. As you can see in the pictures, it’s easy to cut, drill and shape. When you cut through all layers of the panel, the bright red color disappears. However, if you put the panel in a vise and use a single edge razor blade, you can drag the cutting edge down the red side of the multilayered panel and brig the color back to life. Very pleased with the outcome!

This is a great product for making signs on the CNC. Carving through the top layer into the center provides great contrast. You can also carve both sides for hanging signs. The best thing might be that the finished product can be used indoors or outside and requires no finishing. Just carve and you're done.,

I needed a slab of color core type plastic to re-make the wet wall control panel for our motorhome. This material, at 1/2x24x48 inches was less expensive than a piece of thinner ABS color core that is usually used for engraving, and I didn't have to laminate it to a sheet of metal to give it the strength needed. The HDPE material engraves well, but does leave little flecks of top color on highly detailed edges, like the small 10-point Hershey sans 1-stroke engraving typeface used in this panel. The picture attached is of the "uncleaned" right-off-the-router product, and one can see the very minor "hair" that is typical of HDPE milling. I'm sure if I had tweaked my feeds, speeds, and RPM, the "hair" could be reduced. Regardless, it was easily cleaned with compressed air and a pass with a hot air gun. More stubborn bits were dispatched with a quick pass from a small butane torch. The larger text did not have much of this problem. I am sure if I were using a larger or better bit than the 20 degree half-round engraving vee bit, it would have produced far less fuzz, but I needed the small detail; for sure, when using a 1/8" helical 4-flute end mill to cut the holes and the outer edge of the panel, there was no issue with the "fuzz" on the face edge.

This stuff is great cuts. Cuts fantastically. Lasts forever.

I liked being able to engrave the switches and gauges directly. It won't fade or stickers won't fall off. Looks great. Will post photos when installed.

I love working with this product. While using my home cnc machine, I have made some very nice signs and accessories. Every positive review that you read about this product is true. Im going to keep buying.
