The pads are a faux leather and are reasonably comfortable but not quite as nice as the originals. The leather also keeps my ears warm so long listening sessions aren't as comfortable.They do alter the sound a little bit, the high end is flattened out and there's some reverberation in the low end. It's not extreme but it is noticeable.For the price they are good, although when I eventually replace these I'll probably get something with velour and memory foam instead. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ brought my Sennheisers back to useful again *by S***D on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2020* Other than finding out the headband pad wasn't long enough to really be a direct replacement, I've been very happy with this. I did google a YouTube video to make sure that I didn't make things worse by attempting to replace these pads without having a clue, and once I understood the process it took me all of five minutes to swap out the pads I had for these. The difference is night and day, and I am no longer adding black dandruff to my shoulders by wearing these. I suspect the issue with the headband is due to the fact this kit is designed for several models of headphones, and so far as I can tell when wearing the headphone the lack of length is not impacting my ability to wear the headphones or to listen to music through them again. ### ⭐ Not pictured. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2020* This is not "foam" while it might be foam inside the outside is leather which changes the sound and they are just straight up not comfortable.
