BEAUTIFUL AND ALMOST CAREFREE.
Of the 100's of flowers I grow in South Georgia, these are among my very favorite! I began growing them 5-10 years ago. They bloom continuously from early Spring to late Fall and require almost no care. The flower colors and even the plants themselves are so pretty. In Fall of 2023, I added a new flower garden and finally found these seeds. I planted as stated in the directions and almost every seed germinated. I then moved each seedling to a small container. After it was well rooted, planted in the garden. The plants and flowers are healthy and beautiful. The 7" snow we had this winter did not bother the plants. The flowers also make great cut flower arrangements.

No germination
I ordered seeds 3 times, from different vendors I think. Out of all the seeds, only 3 germinated. I start over a 1000 seeds every year and these were the only ones that did not germinate.

Best seeds
Seeds are viable and are real gerbera daisy. The only way they sprouted for me was to put them in a huge pot dampen the soil and put the put in a partial sun area with a sheer piece of cloth over them preferably outside. Potting them in super small containers doesn’t work well. Seeds do sprout in 2 weeks.

So far so good
Update: not a high success rate with these. I literally ended up with about 6 surviving. 3 are STILL trying to push up their first flowers and it is August! The ones that survived are 2 bright yellow, 1 that is the coral and yellow (which I LOVE), and the rest look like they might come out pink - the buds are still curled under and resting in the center of the foliage, but I tried to pry them up and peek at them a bit to see if I could see any color in the bud yet. Looks to be pink. A little disappointed but it could be my fault I guess. I just never had this much of a fail with flowers or seeds. Especially after getting a good sprout and seedling. I grow these every year, so its not a new plant to me. Probably try a different brand next season.I'm giving 5 stars as of now and will update.I planted them all in organic soil, in disposable shot glasses 🙃 and set them under my grow lights. 3 days later now and I do have tiny sprouts on *most* of them. So, I am happy so far and will give 5 stars for now. I will update as they grow (or don't grow) and see how many actual good healthy flowers I end up with. The seeds are coated with yellow and it dissolves away quickly while in the moist soil and then the seed is visible and then the sprouts started. The seeds look like teeny tiny bananas since they have the yellow coating on them.

If you are in for experimenting, this is one you need to try!
I have loved purchased mature gerber daisies for years and have had success keeping them year round here in central Pennsylvania. I thought they were something beyond my growing capability. However, when I visited a local greenhouse to buy plants this year and saw a price of $8 for a 4 inch pot, I decided to do a little more research on these little beauties. At this point, I’m very glad I did. Most articles comment about the difficulty in getting them to germinate and then the trouble you have in transplanting. Germination can probably be a problem if you acquire bad seeds. Most recommend planting 3 seeds for each plant you think you would like to end up with. If you are not used to plant and germinating seeds, not familiar with doing seedling transplanting, then these plants could be a disappointment for you. This situation did not turn me away.I bought the package of two hundred seeds, expecting 60 or so plants – the 3-seeds-to-1 plant ratio I had read about. I figured even if I got ten plants (even at a purchase price of $3 each), I’d be way ahead of the game plus get some growing experience. I would have liked if the seeds were divided by color, but for less than 10 bucks, mixed is acceptable.I took almost half the seeds (90) and sowed 15 seeds in each of my mini-greenhouses (used plastic strawberry boxes), watered them, and set them in my outdoor hoop-green house with some other starting seeds. Within a week, germination was taking place. Two weeks later I took the rest of the seeds and planted them the same way as the first trial seeds.Yesterday was six weeks since the first planting and I decided to finish transplanting my seedlings into individual 2-inch cell trays. It appears as though the 3 seeds to 1 ratio did not apply to the seeds from Outsidepride. I checked the transplants this morning and I have 13 dozen (156) very viable transplants plus another 12-20 questionable transplants. That is better than pretty good seed germination. I wish I could tell you what my final count is going to be at the end of summer, but I have more than a sneaking suspicion I’m going to end up with at least a 50% happiness smile. The quality of these seeds was definitely above my expectations and I think you can expect similar results. If you are skeptical if you have the skills, I’d say buy the 100 seeds, even if you end up with only ten new plants, you’re ahead of the purchase game. More then a few years back there was a commercial on TV and the punch line was “Try it, you’ll like it!” I think you will.I already mention my only dislike - - - I sure would like to have them in separated color. Enjoy growing and showing off your home-grown Gerbera Daisies.

Seeds, sun, water…Go
Seeds are planted, waiting for them to peep out of soil. Need lots of sun…I have that.

Never grew
I planted these 4 weeks ago and nothing. I planted these seeds along with other types of seed throughout my garden, everything is growing except these. Very disappointing as these daisies are my favorite.
